Bon séjour, hôtel satisfaisant.
Un bon hotel qui commence à ressentir le passage du temps. Les boiseries semblent avoir pris de l'humidité et sont gondolés. L'hôtel est assez loin de tout, mais dans une zone où on peut aussi trouver facilement un taxi pour se déplacer. Ne pas hésiter à négocier les tarifs. La chambre avec piscine à entrée privée est fantastique. Il faisait chaud et ensoleillé. On en a très bien profité. Le personnel est sympa et serviable. Le petit déjeuner compris était très bien fourni. J'ai regretté de ne pas avoir apporté ma serviette. Celles de l'hôtel avaient l'air très vieilles, avec des taches dues au chlore et des déchirures. En somme un bon séjour.

PLUS JAMAIS DANS CETTE HOTEL
Un hôtel de ce standing doit avoir des bagagistes aux services de ces clients. Une réception qui sera remettre les messages. Un responsable de chambre qui veillera a que tout soit conforme. ( ma TV ne fonctionnais pas à mon arrivée et pas de sac ni de papier pour ma lingerie. Service plage inexistant et même quand en me déplaçant certaines personnes oublient...

I love that it was entertainment after dinner. The staff was very friendly. The cleanliness of the room was not good, very dusty, had to request housekeeping for cleanliness my first day there and the shower was always cold. The pricing is overated. When its all inclusive I thought it was everything included. I was charged 600 dalasi for ice cream (room service).

Unique: proximity and view of the Ocean. The landscape. The pictures are true Good WiFi , back up generator really handy as we had frequent power outages (NAWEC still haven’t got their sh*t together. Business suffering as a result.) Staff is amazing. Quick check in process, actually had us in our rooms before checking time as we arrived early from a long tiresome flight. The rooms are spacious but not sure what happened with the doors, wall paint - poor workmanship I guess. Definitely not meeting the standards of a hotel of this class and price. Great stay overall

There were a number of employees at the hotel that did an exceptional job. Esmaila, Mamadou, Amadou, Mustafa, Abdou, Esa, and Edee all were so friendly and helpful.

Mooi groot hotel maar voelt totaal niet massaal aan. We hadden een kamer aan het zwembad. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. Elke dag schone handdoeken. Wel maar 1 grote per persoon, een kleinere erbij was wel handig geweest. Op de ruime kamer stond een grote koelkast die goed was. Ook de douche was ruim. Wel was het lastig om het water goed te krijgen (wisselend bloedheet/koud). Bedden lagen lekker. Airco werkte goed. Je kon deze ook de hele dag aan laten staan zodat je een koude kamer had als je terug kwam, geen deurpasje nodig om stroom te hebben. Er waren genoeg stopcontacten op de kamer. Elke dag kregen we veel flesjes water op de kamer en ook het wc papier werd goed bijgevuld. Voor de deur van het hotel is meteen een taxistandplaats. Hier hebben we taxichauffer Mohammed Camara leren kennen, bekend als Big Mo. Een super vriendelijke mandie de hele week voor ons gezorgd heeft. We hoefden maar te appen en hij was er. Zeker een aanrader dus om hem als je taxichauffeur of tourguide te pakken. Hij regelt het tot in de puntjes voor je. Bij het hotel zelf kun je makkelijk geld wisselen. Helaas is daar geen ATM om geld te pinnen. Het hotel heeft een leuke bar/restaurant aan het zwembad/strand. Je kunt hier prima eten of gezellig zitten in de avond. Ze hebben vaak voetbal op tv aanstaan. Ik zou dit hotel zeker aanraden, alleen Kotu zelf stelt weinig voor, erg klein. Het hotel is zeker wel een aanrader!

We stayed here for our honeymoon-we are still here enjoying every last moment. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The food is very nice, despite waiting a while for it come. Good selection for breakfast. We will definitely return.

Very disappointing, could be great
The hotel could be great, but there is little maintenance on the property and in the rooms. The staff has very little enthusiasm to assist you. It is really a pity & shame as this could be a wonderful hotel to stay in. Having ants all over the floor in the gym, and you can see they have been there for ages, and black algae on the walls of the bathroom, just unacceptable.

The pool right next to the room with view to the sea is absolutely great. All people in the hotel try to give their best and help quickly. The only thing I didn't like is the missing privacy at the bathroom/toilet

After my stay at the Tamala I feel quite conflicted. I stayed earlier on in the year and had a great experience and this is why I booked it a second time. However, this time could be described as lacking lustre. Overall the staff are lovely and really helpful but there were a few things during my stay which were disappointing. Firstly, I paid for a sea view room with private pool. When I arrived the water was green, you could see algae at the side of the pool. After watching the same debris for a couple of days I mentioned to the reception desk that the pool was not clean. The following day it started to get some attention, but it took some time for the water to become cleaner. I just didn't want to risk it, so did not have use of the pool for the duration of my stay. The African BBQ was good and the Sunday buffet is fairly good value. You just need to arrive early, so you have access to a wider range of foods. The Fish market was not great although the concept is pretty cool. You are able to select fresh fish for the BBQ. What they fail to tell you is that you only get half of what you put in the basket and its disguised on your plate when they bring the food to you (I think...hoping you won't notice). The irony was that my partner and I (trying not to be greedy) selected a crab for us to share and we only ended up with half a crab between us. We complained and received what felt like a half hearted apology and solution.

This property was amazing from the moment we stepped into it until the moment we left. The staff are all professional and go above to make you feel welcomed. There is nothing that they would not do. Very engaging and enjoyable stay. The fish dinner night, and Sunday brunch was great with lots of choices. Room was perfect with swim up a bonus. I have had the best time here and will definitely be returning. There were local shops along the strip and it was a pleasure to support them by buying some gifts to take home.
