'THE NUTMEG LIVED UP TO WHAT WE WERE EXPECTING. THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS CLIMBING UP TO THE UPSTAIRS WAS DIFFICULT...BUT BECAUSE THE BUILDING WAS VERY OLD...NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE. BUT WE SURVIVED IT!'

'Very helpful host. Good location. A short bike path for walking. Comfortable beds and room. Be prepared for dogs who bark or whine when left in their pet friendly rooms when their owners go out. Not a fan of the no BYOB rule. Stairs were strep to the upstairs rooms. Overall, a great weekend stay.'

'The room was wonderful. SO spacious and well-appointed, extremely clean. Loved the excellent bedding, the soaking tub, the perfect water pressure in the shower. We did not expect the flat-screen TV, so it was a treat to have. Don't let the lack of restaurant bother you: There are plenty of great choices around, though you have a bit of a drive. For a leisurely romantic weekend, I can't think of a better place. '

'We had a lovely time staying in the Tower Room for our wedding weekend! The space feels like it's own tiny apartment with a winding center staircase leading up to a luxurious spa-like bathroom, perfect for getting ready in the morning and relaxing at night! The staff was kind and helpful, our only regret was not being able to stay on property longer, we will definitely be coming back to try the famous French Toast at breakfast!'

Received an email saying they would have a service person address it. Next morning the ants made their way into the room. I notified staff the next morning, in person, and was assured it was taken care of. We had ants the entire time, which because more and more of a problem, as one might expect.
