'Had a wonderful time the lodge was gorgeous and very homely. I would recommend to anyone who wants a quiet week away. The hot tub was amazing and the bath with the LED lights was such a nice touch. The only small thing was that the toilet light was on a sensor and kept turning off while we were in there. But other than that a beautiful place to stay.'

'This is our second stay at Oakwood Lodges. Smooth transaction from booking to check in and check out. All information provided prior to check in including a telephone call which I found helpful. Lodges are all unique in their own styles. Lodge was clean and everything provided from away from home. Very comfortable. We took the children this time and they loved the hot tub, game of pool and darts, we were all kept entertained.'

'3rd time at Bennys. Such a comfortable house, extremely clean and warm. Village has one shop, a chippy and a pub. Only 10 min walk from the Wetlands, which is great for my, birdwatching hubby. Bathroom downstairs. All amenities are easy to use. Very relaxing for us in our 70s. Communication from Cottages.com is excellent.Highly recommended.'

'Becca and Tony made us feel very welcome, both before arrival and during our stay. The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. Some of the automatic, sensor lights seemed to take a bit of working out with some switches not in an obvious place.Tip: Take or buy a rubber mat for the shower rooms, especially if mobility is an issue.Very quiet and dark at night.'

'David was an excellent host, and the cottage was a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable accommodation close to local amenities and a lovely canal to walk down with pooch right outside the door. Although there is no designated parking, street parking is a 10 second walk away, so this wasn't an issue. There was even a guitar on the wall to have a relaxing noodle. Thanks again David'

'Well located and gorgeous flat. The main issue was noise, as it is not well insulated from noise outside (noise from the kitchen staff from the pub opposite smashing the bins until midnight) and from the flat below (could hear the couple being intimate), so although the bed is comfy not ideal to get a good night sleep.'

"Kamer was te basic voor deze prijs. Hebben zelfs de eerste kamer gewisseld omdat het raam niet eens open kon. Tweede kamer was iets ruimer maar geen ventilatie in de badkamer en echt te basic voor woorden. Daar bij moet je door een corridor waar de vuile vaat van de avond ervoor nog staat. Waar dronken mensen door de gangen dwalen die de feestruimte niet meer kunnen vinden na toiletbezoek. Waar het tapijt eruit ziet alsof het er al 100 jaar ligt met alle gevolgen van dien etc. Vriendelijks waren de mensen bij de receptie en de schoonmakers. Bar personeel zwaar onder de maat. Ongeïnteresseerd en onvriendelijk. Foto’s ogen geweldig en wellicht dat de kamers in het hoofdgebouw beter zijn maar voor deze prijzen per nacht verwacht ik veel beter. Wel gemakkelijk naast station en dichtbij het centrum."
