'We were a group of three families (plus a dog) and the house and gardens were phenomenal. The kitchen and the secret garden were our main areas for convening. All facilities were great, and as an avid cook, the kitchen set up and equipment was top notch. '

'Choose ground or first floor apartment as attic apartment is too hot and windows don't let in enough light. Mirror in bathroom fitted under eaves so too low to see yourself in if you're over 4ft tall. No long mirror in apartment either and bedroom too dark to use mirror over dressing table. Pelmets above windows and blinds hanging slightly below them block light so what little light the windows provide is further obscured by the window dressings. Was told there were only 2 floors so expected to...

'This was our second visit to this lovely cottage. It is very quaint and cosy. The setting is very peaceful - lots of birds singing and rabbits in the field. There is a busy road next to the cottage but that didn’t detract from the feeling of tranquility. The hot tub is fabulous. It’s a great base to explore the local area. It’s so easy to get a bus into Pocklington which is a lovely market town with good shops, pubs and restaurants. We had a great holiday and will definitely come back in...

'3rd time at Bennys. Such a comfortable house, extremely clean and warm. Village has one shop, a chippy and a pub. Only 10 min walk from the Wetlands, which is great for my, birdwatching hubby. Bathroom downstairs. All amenities are easy to use. Very relaxing for us in our 70s. Communication from Cottages.com is excellent.Highly recommended.'

'We had a really lovely time staying at Hudson 5. The property is beautifully decorated and feels very welcoming as soon as you arrive. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well looked after, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our stay. The location was also a big plus, being so close to the centre and within easy reach of shops, restaurants, and everything we needed. It was the perfect base for exploring the area. Overall we had a great experience and would happily stay here again.'

'Absolutely beautiful little cottage! Perfect for what we wanted and fully enclosed garden for our little dog! Nice and roomy for the two of us who fancied a few days seeing the sights of York. Shower nice and powerful and location lovely and quiet but not too far from local shops and restaurants. Very clean and tidy upon arrival! Would highly recommend and would stay again! Thank you!'
