'I put in the postcode but car sat nav directed me as far as the local pub only! After turning down a wrong lane past the pub in the pitch dark (9pm on an October evening) ascending up at a dead end I rang the owner who instructed me to carry on past the pub for another 2 miles! I eventually arrived at a building signposted as the ‘equestrian centre’ so I drove a bit further and ended up driving around some lane in a woods (surrounded by curious deer and badgers!). 'We absolutely loved this place, located in the heart of Malham. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The larger rooms were fully booked in advance, so we opted for the Comfort Double Room with an ensuite. It was clean and spacious for the two of us. I especially appreciated the small touches in the room, like the homemade biscuits they were baked to perfection! Breakfast was pre-ordered the night before, which worked out perfectly for us.
