Exceptionally quiet, this freestanding private cottage offers many cozy indoor and outdoor nooks to relax while “living like a local.” Enjoy a glass of lemonade on the front porch overlooking a sweet garden of camellia and azalea. Or, dine al fresco in the airy screened porch, which opens to a paved backyard patio and garden.

Comfortable, serene space

Recently updated and furnished, the cottage offers serenity in the living room with its stylish, comfortable chairs and couch, Smart TV, local art, and heritage tables made of reclaimed wood. Twin beds in the guest room and a queen bed in the primary suite offer brand-new pillowtop comfort. Beautiful wood floors gleam throughout the home, and sunlight streams through three sides of historic windows in the living room. Vaulted ceilings help the 820-square-foot gem “live large.” A modern galley kitchen includes granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. A front-loading washer and dryer are in the spacious dressing area between the primary bedroom and light-filled master bath. The hall bathroom lies across from the guest bedroom and features a pedestal sink and full bath/shower.

Unprecedented in downtown Savannah, the CraftSmith Cottage boasts private parking spots in front of and behind the cottage, even though you'll probably find yourself walking everywhere. You're just a few blocks away from author Flannery O'Connor's childhood home, Colonial Cemetery, and the historic St. John the Baptist Cathedral. A leisurely stroll through the leafy squares of Savannah will bring you to a bountiful array of coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques. Heated Pool Access in season. Our guests have access to a beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitmarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.
