Our stay was wonderful until leaving back for Canada.
I stayed at this hotel recently, and while the property itself is nice and the staff were polite, my overall experience was significantly affected by a serious luggage handling issue.
After checkout, my suitcase was mistakenly retained by the hotel, which resulted in me traveling internationally without my belongings. Although the hotel later confirmed that my luggage was secure and in good condition, the process of resolving the situation has been slow and stressful. I have been without my suitcase for an extended period, which caused considerable inconvenience and required multiple follow-ups.
Communication from the hotel has been courteous, but the resolution has taken longer than expected, and arrangements for shipping my luggage is still in progress. At the time of writing, compensation is still under discussion.
While I appreciate that the matter was eventually escalated to management, this experience overshadowed what would otherwise have been a pleasant stay. I hope the hotel improves its internal procedures to ensure guests’ belongings are handled with greater care.
