Plumbing was not working due to previous tenants so we could not check in at the designated time. We could not get in touch for hours with owner to discuss as they were working. When I was contacted I was given VRBO's number and a case number. Their solution was to have owner refund me the first night stay and find a hotel. My sister and her adult son were staying with me so two hotel rooms would have been needed which a one night refund would not have covered. Being from Indiana, I was not familiar with the area so I would've had to hopefully find a hotel in the general vicinity. Finally, at 11 pm we were able to get into our rental. Details of property did not include an apartment above the bungalow so footsteps were constantly heard. Upon entering the bungalow there was a common area with a washer and dryer that was shared with guest in the upper apartment. The door between the common area and our living area did not have a lock leaving us vulnerable. The utensils included two forks, one knife, two different size spoons and a bottle opener in a pink cup.We were refunded 100 for the first night but only after the owner determined my nephew had taken one of her pillows and left a stained one which was not the case and obviously taken by the previous tenants. And they stated that I was not charged the 75 for the addition of my nephew staying with us which they never mentioned after I honestly emailed them about and did not receive a response. There's more but no space.
