Blokhutten in Santa Monica

'Very expensive hotel for what it offers. It's a decent hotel, clean, practical but not worth the value. I didn't want to pay a lot at the luxurious hotel but I paid more than others at the same level because it was “Hilton” but I don't think it's necessary. Location is not perfect but you can walk about 10 minutes to the pier. Parking: park in the parking lot across the street, much cheaper. Because I didn't use a valet, no one helped me with my 4 suitcases, which I think is extremely bad.'

'Wat een heerlijk hotel op een top locatie. Santa monica pier op een paar minuten lopen, en een leuke winkel promenade nog korter bij. Kamer heerlijk ruim, goed verduisterende gordijnen en fijne badkamer. Enige minpuntje in de kleine hoeveelheid tafels om het ontbijt te nuttigen. Maar dat mocht de pret zeker. Iet drukken. Top hotel!'

'Clean and spacious room, very comfortable and quiet. The area felt safe and location is close to Santa Monica pier and shopping area. Easy accessible from hwy 10. No breakfast is being served, but there’s a small Starbucks in the hotel and there are breakfast opportunities in the direct vicinity. Downside: ridiculously high costs for valet parking. There might be better options at the nearby City Parking Garage. Overall, we really liked our stay here.'

'Goed hotel/motel met betalende parking ( maar wel schappelijk. Goed ontbijt met toast, fruit, pancakes, potjes yoghurt etc (geen ei of spek/worstjes). Badkamer was duidelijk vernieuwd en proper. Bad/douche in 1 met shampoo, bodywash en conditioneer. Voldoende handdoeken… Goede ligging niet ver van Santa Monica pier met de auto of openbaar vervoer. De buurt voelde veilig aan (hebben te voet naar een restaurantje gewandeld. Al bij al een betaalbaar hotel in LA met goede ligging.'
