Welcome to Seascape Villas, a Fodor's "Choice" resort. Seascape is located on the unspoiled, pristine beachfront of Ambergris Caye, just three miles north of San Pedro Town and four miles east from Secret Beach. It is a private, six-unit resort with its own designer pool, tennis / pickleball court, and some of the most elegant and spacious vacation villas found in the Caye. Your villa, Nautilus Del Mar (Villa #6), is directly on the beach, offering particular luxury for those with discriminating taste in tropical vacations.
Nautilus Del Mar has 3,700 square feet of modern living space with three large bedrooms, 3.5 baths and spacious balconies and verandas that open directly onto the sand. Being directly on the water, nestled under tall palm trees and enjoying the tropical breezes coming off the sea only yards away, is only the start of your villa's unique benefits. Its innovative architectural design, modelled after the Nautilus shell, provides a circular common living area attached to a wing that runs all three bedrooms parallel with the beach. As a result, the living / dining room area, with its wrap-around elevated veranda, has a stunning panoramic look onto the Caribbean and the resort. The second floor Master bedroom, with its private balcony, has an equally breath-taking beachfront view. The two bedrooms on the ground floor not only have that same view but also open directly onto porches that step off into the beach sand. The palm trees shading the area in the front of the house provide the perfect frame for a Caribbean scene that would be the delight of anyone looking for a luxury tropical vacation.
Inside, the bedding configuration is three Kings (two of which can be split into Twin beds). All bedrooms have their own bathrooms and walk-in closets. Provided amenities include full bedding (linens, pillows, duvets), towels, beach towels, and toiletries. There is a complete kitchen, fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and an open counter that overlooks the dining area, living room, front deck and the beach beyond. It is fully stocked with cooking utensils, dishes and cleaning supplies if you wish to make your own gourmet meals (we offer you the chance to stop off at a nearby grocery store on the way to the villa if you elect to take advantage of the free private transport in from the airport, but more on that later). If you want to eat in but do not feel like cooking yourself, our staff can even arrange the services of a private chef. A supply of drinking water is provided so you do not have to weigh yourself down at the market.
To keep you happy while you are indoors, your villa has newly upgraded combination of central and split air conditioning. Alternatively, you can open the three sets of French doors that face the beach and let the tropical breezes cool your living room and dining areas. For entertainment, there are two flat screen, smart televisions with a recently upgraded multi-lingual cable TV system (100+ channels) and streaming capability. Quality sound systems are available in the Master and living / dining areas. If you want to spend time on the internet, wi-fi is provided and is secure. Or if you want to slow things down a bit, your villa also keeps a supply of games (have you ever played Tommy Bahama Monopoly?), puzzles and books.
Or maybe you want to use your stay as a chance to get some work done. In addition to the secure wi-fi, the villa has created workspaces where one can move the desk provided, plug in a laptop and "work from home". An electrical outlet has also been installed by a worktable with four chairs on the front veranda, so you can work on your laptop in the cool breeze coming off the beach (and hold you zoom meetings with the Caribbean as a backdrop!). If you need a break, a simple look up from the screen and out over the water reminds you that this is not a bad place to get stuck in the "office". And don't worry about losing any of your work. We have an emergency generator that will ensure that your laptop remains powered up, your phone is kept fully charged, and your wi-fi stays on during any power outages.
Other on-site services include our resident concierge (more later), a complimentary on-call maid service so you do not have to worry about cleaning up your place, and a 24/7 maintenance crew that maintains the facilities and grounds. To ensure your stay is a safe one, we have security cameras on the property and a professional nighttime guard service.
The luxury experience begins with our representative meeting you at the San Pedro dock or airport with complimentary transport for you and your baggage to Seascape Villas. If you wish, they will stop at a local grocery store along the way to acquaint you with what is on the shelves and allow you to pick up anything you may want to put in your fridge. Once at Seascape, you will be greeted by our resident staff and introduced to your villa and the property. With that, you can easily go for total privacy, enjoying quality time with your family or friends inside Nautilus Del Mar or outside on its two decks, both with unobstructed views of the beach. Or you can wander through the Seascape resort, using the elevated designer pool to bask in the sun and enjoy its own stunning views of the Caribbean. Lounge chairs, umbrellas, sea kayaks, bicycles and a tennis / pickleball court are all part of the Seascape Villas amenities that are free for you to use. Where else can you play pickleball for free?
Or you can utilize your resident concierge to set you up for other outside activities, such as diving, snorkeling, fishing, parasailing, sailing, or windsurfing (if you decide to go fishing out on the reef, be sure to do so early in your stay as you get to keep your catch, which will give you plenty to cook up in your kitchen!). You can venture even farther afield, having the staff arrange tours to nearby Mayan ruins, jungle rivers, game reserves, or other wonderful outdoor sights.
Excellent bars and restaurants can be found minutes away with a walk along the beach. If you want more, the lively town of San Pedro is a few miles down the paved road, with its extensive array of bars, restaurants, shopping and services. Water taxi's pass frequently by the Seascape pier and can take you there. Alternatively, your staff can arrange for a golf cart rental (four or six seats), the standard mode for getting around the island. The paved road to San Pedro was extended a few years ago to just below Seascape, so the town is only 15 minutes away by golf cart. Secret Beach, a popular place to visit on the lagoon side of Ambergris Caye, is only a 20-minute trip to the west on dirt roads through the jungle. Or you can just explore, taking those dirt same roads further north to the isolated resorts that dot the Caribbean coastline.
If speed is not your thing, slow your mode of transportation down. We have bicycles available, so you can better enjoy the sights and sounds as your cruise down the roads. Want to get off the roads? Use some of our kayaks to enjoy what the Caribbean has to offer inside the barrier reef. In fifteen minutes of rowing, you can be out to the reef itself, where you can drop over the side and enjoy the world-class snorkeling.
