The home was very clean. It was generally comfortable; the front room bed was too firm. Back yard has a great view, overlooking a little gulch with great bird life (I really enjoyed the birds!). The kitchen needs to be better supplied, with butter knives, small sharp knives (only a few very large ones were present), serving spoons, normal size pots/pans. The wifi did not work. When I asked about wifi, I was told to try the north side of the home. The home is not huge, and there was no access to wifi anywhere in the home. Also, the checking in process was a bit rough. I asked for check-in info a few days ahead, and was told I would be given the details later. I then received no communication. The day of checking in, I tried to reach the owner, and ended up just going to the home, where fortunately I found the keys and was able to get in. The owner lives next-door, and introduced herself during our stay, and was friendly. She was responsive to questions during our stay, although some problems were not resolved adequately (like the wifi). Also, I was told I would not be double-charged for cleaning (I stayed 3/17-21, then extended by one day), but thus far I have not gotten my money back on the extra $75 cleaning fee. The light switches in the home are "modern" switches that are challenging to figure out; perhaps some instructions along with the remote control switches would be helpful for those used to the old fashioned switches that actually turn the lights on or off when switched (it took pressing buttons several times to get these lights to work). The neighborhood/location were fine, and all in all we had a great time in San Diego.
