From mid-January through the end of March, you can watch humpback whales in Samana Bay right from the terrace or the pool.

The villa features a private outdoor pool and is located directly on the coast of Las Galeras. On the large terrace, you can dine al fresco and enjoy the panoramic view of the ocean. Barbecue facilities and a grocery delivery service are available for self-catering guests.

Las Galeras is a small town at the tip of the secluded Samaná Peninsula, but it offers plenty of ways to keep yourself entertained. There are several good restaurants in the hills, a few nightclubs and bars in town, great beaches, and numerous excursion options for exploring the area. The area has a very rural character, so you’ll find coffee and pineapple plantations here. Fruit trees are everywhere—from Mango to papaya and banana, all the way to avocado. The people here live a very simple life at a slower pace compared to the Western lifestyle; they greet one another and take the time to listen to each other. This is part of the rural Dominican culture and laid-back atmosphere.
Playa Rincón is 14 minutes away, and Playa Frontón is 17 minutes from the house. The city center of Samaná and the Samaná Whale Museum are just 20 km away. Samaná El Catey International Airport is a 50-minute drive away.
