Our Little Slice of Heaven - Creekside Cabin on the Pacolet River

  • Enjoy the beautiful scenery, peaceful sounds of Colt Creek from this charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath log cabin overlooking the Pacolet River. Spend your mornings with coffee on the large back porch, relax by the water, gather around the fire pit or simply unwind and enjoy the quiet surroundings.

    Inside, the cabin offers a cozy, comfortable place to settle in after a day exploring Saluda and the surounding areas. The newly renovated kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, kirueg, toaster and the essentials needed for your stay.

    We've also been busy making improvements thoughout the property! Recent and ongoing upgrades include new windows and exterior doors, updated lighting and ceiling fans, refreshed bedding and furnishings, improvement to outdoor spaces and additional heating and cooling updates to make the cabin even more comfortable year-round.

    Outside, were continuing to enhance the property while keeping its natural charm. Guests can enjoy a dedicated fire pit area where the creek meets the river, a seperate outdoor picnic area, Adirondack seating and simple landscaped areas designed to complement the wooded surroundings.

    The cabin is a great place to disconnect, relax and enjoy time together but please note cell phone service is extremely limited in the area and wifi is provided at the property.

    Linens and firewood are included in your stay.

    We are continually working on thoughtful updates to the cabin so returning guest may notice something new each time they visit!

We loved our stay at Our Little Slice of Heaven. The sounds of the creek and the cool air in this area was so refreshing. The area is a little remote but so quiet and relaxing. I loved the little town of Saluda, the shops, people and restaurants. I’m looking forward to visiting again next summer!

Had a great Thanksgiving stay at “Our Little Slice of Heaven”. Very awesome property, right on the North Pacolet River. Close to Saluda if you want to visit Saluda Outfitters or grab a bite out, but very tranquil if the goal is just to get away. Would highly recommend and plan on visiting again!

This was a clean, beautiful cabin in an absolutely gorgeous serene area. It was easy to get to off the interstate. I would definitely recommend to other people.

Cabin has a beautiful location! If you are looking for a peaceful setting this is the right place. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious and the whole cabin had a homey feel. Lots of seating in the living room and kitchen. The loft space is perfect for older kids to hang out. The creek also kept kids very busy. We hiked big and little bradley falls while here and the town of Saluda is very nice to walk around. Pearson falls is within walking distance and should be opening back up in June.

Perfect Getaway

My family and I stayed the weekend at the cabin and we loved it. Very peaceful and relaxing. There is a waterfall within walking distance. The surrounding towns are amazing. We plan to visit again.

Magical

Lovely rustic cabin in the magical area of Pearson Falls, right on river flowing over rocks. Close to town and convenient to Saluda, Tryon and Landrum. Owner is lovely and cared about our stay. Highly recommend.

Absolutely perfect place to relax and unwind! Thank you so much for sharing your piece of heaven with us. Beautiful, cozy and just feels like home the moment you pull in. It's incredibly quiet and peaceful. The only sounds heard are the creek and the wildlife. During our weekend stay we say one other vehicle on the road otherwise we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere which is exactly what we wanted. Morning coffee in the swing listening to the creek was my favorite part of the day. We are already planning a visit back and hopefully a longer stay.

The creek out back was the high light. Towels, sheets were nice. Cabin is older, so it smelled funny. The property needs some TLC and it hasn't had a thorough cleaning in some time. It was as if they only cleaned the middle of the rooms, looking a little grimy along the edges. No hot water in back bathrm. Not on central air and heat. Granite countertops were very nice. Kitchen amenities were ok.

Great Trip! Wonderful cabin in a perfect location for a pause from everyday life. Our family had a great time and the hosts were very responsive to our questions and concerns. Excellent experience!!!

This place is fantastic! You want to get away from everything. This is it. there is no cell service.

Peaceful Retreat

This cabin is gorgeous and has everything you could wish for. The rushing river sounds are soothing. It took a couple days to "detox" from all the time spent on electronics--- but we bonded over board games and 2 completed 1000 piece puzzles! The owner was very receptive and quick to answer any questions. I loved reading the book with the local history and the little town of Saluda is a perfect place to browse the shops and eat.

The location of the cabin was perfect, just what we were looking for.....no internet/WiFi!! My family & I really spend time just being with each other, playing games, talking, making smores & roasting chestnuts. We made sweet memories! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

The perfect location

We were blown away by the beautiful location, comfortable accommodations, and cleanliness of this cozy cabin. The location could not be more ideal nestled between the creek and its tributary. You’re a stone’s throw from Pearson Falls, centrally located near Main Street stores, and you get to sleep at night with the sounds of a babbling creek out your back door. If you like to cook, the kitchen is fantastic. Can’t say enough good things about this terrific find.

Our stay in saluda

As part of our vacation we spended a few days at Saluda, the area was wonderful and the location of the house near the water is a dream. We were disappointed of the cleanliness of the house, it was not clean enough, and we have not enjoyed being in the house but have spended most of our time out side.

Beautiful property

Overall just a beautiful place in the mountains and not to far from town if needed. Cell service is hit or miss and was great for all of the family to unplug! We will visit again.
