Kastelen in Saint-Martin-Lacaussade

'I stayed in the Douceur Medoquine room and it was large, quiet, and beautifully decorated. The setting is peaceful and next door to the famous Chateau Pichon Baron. The owners, Pascale and Alex, were very helpful, friendly, and hospitable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Uber and taxi service was somewhat unreliable so it is a good idea to have a car. I highly recommend Le Coeur des Vignes.'

'The property advertising is very misleading. Where was the pool? Where was the onsite catering aside from breakfast? The accomodation was okay, if very isolated. No daytime cafes, just a couple of restaurants that only open for lunch, sometimes dinner. The fridge in my room didn’t work, so I couldn’t bring in an improvised meal. Like one other reviewer, I felt like I wanted my money back! So misleading!'

'Great little pool'

'What a paradise! Lovely big room in a gorgeous house with a superb rural setting. The swimming pool area is just perfect! The owners couldn’t have been more helpful, and recommended a great restaurant by the estuary in the evening. Great breakfast ended a wonderful stay!'
