'We were changed to a cheaper room without consultation. Room had onsuite and looked ok, but on closer inspection, there was no WC. We had to use the lobby toilet. Inconvenient and embarrassing for those who need a loo in the night. We recieved a discount on request. Breakfast was initially ambiguous as no clear rules on where/how. Eventually after making a start ourselves, we were waited on. This nice villa is better suited to rent as a whole, than as individual rooms/ guests.'

'The Chateau was such a beautiful and peaceful area to stay. Our host Veronique was attentive and responsive. Breakfast at the Chateau was lovely and tasty. The Family suite was modern in a unique old setting. The pool was invigorating. The grounds are picturesque and quintessential French with flowers in stone containers in a tranquil setting. '

'Hosts/owners went above and beyond to make sure we had all the things we needed. Specifically arriving late on a Sunday evening and needing supper as they supplemented what food we did have. The location of this place is so good, particularly if you are visiting the various wineries. I loved this place so much that I am trying to figure when to go back and bring all my friends! 'Lovely place, and very nice owners. Great rooms and beds. The pool was fun, and the hot tub very nice. And the breakfast was fantastic. The only thing to be aware of is that if you don't have a car it's hard to get to (taxis are hard to come by in Amboise), and a decent walk from downtown Amboise.'
