'We were in Rock Hill for my nephews high school graduation. This home was a nice location in downtown Rock Hill close to everything we needed and a pleasant stay for our dog. We were able to walk at Glencairn Gardens and Lake Winthrop on the university athletics complex. The fenced in backyard worked out very well. 'The property is quaint and comfortable. The location was perfect for me and my family. My biggest complaint is the bathroom has no way to recycle the air or window to open because there is no screen in the window. I live in an older home and my remedy to the absent air vent is the modern light/vent combo that, although there's no venting up and out of the house, it cycles the air in the room to eliminate odors and address moisture. They sell them at Menards or home depot. My only other issue,...

'We stayed at the Milton House as part of a writer’s retreat—it was perfect! We felt we were in a cocoon, which is what we needed. We enjoyed the screen porch for our meals. 'The house was clean, nicely decorated and CONVENIENT to where we needed to be (Winthrop University and the Oratory). We were only there to sleep and eat breakfast. It was very nice with no real problems. It was a quiet neighborhood (no dogs barking through the night as a few reviews stated). You could hear the early morning train (thus the house's name) but it was in the distance and I found it comforting not annoying. I don't think it would even wake an infant. Maybe next time we will have time...

'The property was very clean for our large group. Outdoor sitting area was very spacious. We had enough towels/linens to accomodate the group. Only issue we had was power outage in bonus house. Owners communicated and came out to address issue. We really enjoyed our stay on the lake. '
