'from the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and the feeling grew as the stay progressed. Fran is a very friendly host and her husband John was just as welcoming. The gite and pool are in a beautiful, quiet, nature filled part of the Charente. The decor in each room is a clever mix of antique and modern. It is immaculately clean; generously equipped; a well insulated house. We enjoyed feeding their hens too!! We fully recommend this gite.'

'Lovely cosy apartment with all amenities (even detergents) present. The gas powered heater is a huge plus in colder weather. The walled garden is very practically if you have a dog with you. The host’s hospitality is wonderful and she is very helpful. Recommended for 2 to 3 people. '

'I have to say this was the best vrbo I ever stayed in due to the amazing couple that owned and manages this place. They were helpful in so many ways. The place itself is relaxing and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of big cities but close enough to bike ride (which they have bikes to use) to some of the closer towns around if you don't mind a few hills to climb. 'Super place, easy to get to local places like St Romaine, Aubeterre, and Limoges and Cognac. Hosts were very generous—great breakfasts, and made dinner for us one night. We’ll stay there again when we’re in the Chalais area'
