'New, clean property and rooms were clean. The rooms are incredibly small like NYC small. What makes up for the small room was the staff. Mary was exceptional, friendly, helpful and delightful! Erin was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious!!!'

'Pros: great location. Few mins from city center. Clean room for the most part. It also has stuff that you need to survive like microwave, plates and other appliances. Things that can be better: there are ants - only a few but noticable. The room is on 4th floor - do not book it if you have luggage. Also, the shower slit remains a bit open so water spills out.'

'The hotel was clean, tidy, and well maintained, and the location is excellent. However, this is unfortunately not a very family-friendly hotel. Children are not allowed to use the indoor pool, and although there is an outdoor pool with loungers, you have to pass through the spa area to access it, which also restricts children from entering. With temperatures reaching 33 degrees, this was quite disappointing for families travelling with kids. We then decided to use the hotel beach area, only to...

'I am not satisfied with their service. I booked a deluxe room and the air conditioning is not working. I was on the 3rd floor and they downgrade my room to 1st floor. They told me there is nothing available. I was really upset and I ask if I can upgrade my room with extra money. But they kept telling me it’s not available except for the room in the 1 st floor. Will not go back to this hotel.'

'Fabulous hotel with all the required amenities; nice spa and outdoor/indoor pool, phenomenal access to the beach/Adriatic sea; great chairs/beach towels; beautifully landscaped property. Spacious room with spectacular views. Excellent breakfast. Access to the extensive boardwalk in Opatija. Amazing value for money.'

'Vergane glorie, heel kleine kamer, veel muggen op de kamer en in hotel. Het bleek een rokers kamer. Dat was echt heel vies. Ontbijt was overigens prima. Overall te duur voor wat we ervoor kregen.'

'Classic Austro-Hungarian style hotel, great location. Only downside is the view on the very ugly roof of the hotel next door (Hotel Paris). The staff are somewhat stiff, and they raised prices of parking and pets without mentioning that on Expedia. That's a minus. Otherwise we had a nice time because there are many great food/drink locations around and Opatija is just awesome!'
