« First off, check-in was weird. The owner told us a power outage a few days ago wiped out his key card machine, so he couldn't give us keys because replacement was still on order, that we'd have to just find him and he'd let us in to our room. Don't really understand how temporarily losing power destroys a machine like that, I hope its legitimately short term but just started off the experience creepy wondering if he's one of those nosy micromanaging owners who wants to spy on everyone etc. The...

« We had booked our stay at Paso Robles Inn and were offered a $96 upgrade to The Piccolo. The upgraded hotel rooms were so nice, very clean, beautifully decorated. That being said, if you stay at The Piccolo, you should know - the lobby is not staffed 24-hours, nor is valet, so it's difficult to get assistance when you need it. « We enjoyed our king room with balcony overlooking the vineyard! A nice cooked to order breakfast was also available each morning for an hour and a half. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The inn is beautiful and right on the highway which takes you to Cambria (approx. 30 minutes away). »
