'I stayed in the house with my family and grandparents. The house is spacious. We loved the living area. The pool was great. The bed- and bathrooms were neat and tidy. And what surprised us the most was how well equipped the kitchen was. If there was a minor point, than it was only the last part of the road. You need a good/big car to drive up here.'

'We enjoyed two weeks in this beautiful house and agree with many other reviews. It is a high authentic Tuscan house, full of art and books, with a large, cool kitchen that is a dream for cooking, garden terraces, and balconies with views across the entire valley. Plenty of peace and quiet and a good starting point for (mountain) walks and trips to surrounding towns and villages. And on top of that, a very warm welcome and stay with lovely people. Highly recommended.'

'Abbiamo soggiornato 15 giorni in 4 persone ( e due cani) ad agosto 2025. La casa è molto bella,, confortevole, ben attrezzata, molto pulita e si trova in una buona posizione per raggiungere vari posti della Garfagnana e inoltre è vicino, non più di 2 minuti a piedi, al supermercato, macelleria, bar e farmacia. il giardino è molto carino e la tettoia in legno vicino al barbecue è fornita di tavolo e sedie che ci ha permesso di fare bellissime cene all'aperto. Mario è gentilissimo e risponde...

'We had a very great time and enjoyed it a lot. Our teenage boys enjoyed every day the pool and we also liked the small village with all the options and possibilities. Fornoli is really a very nice old Italian town. The accommodation is just a little bit out of the center but still everything was easy reachable by foot or car. Due to the situation that the house is situated against the mountain it creates that there is a very nice view from outside the house and also a lot of privacy.'

'I get the feeling the owners have just bought this house & are just starting to rent it out. It seems they have upgraded some parts of the apartment but others are old i.e. the kitchen doors look new, but the carcasses are very old. The lounge felt like it was missing a tv. There was a sofa for 2 facing a wall, with your back to the views of the hills, which felt odd. Personally, when I book an apartment for 4 people I expect 4 people to comfortably be able to sit in the lounge at the same...
