There was a smell of sewage at the front of the property. Also, they try to get you to buy into the property but get defensive when you ask questions they don't have answers to.

Got food poisoning from the buffet. Some staff are rude and no one can answer questions. There are flies all over. People are constantly trying to pressure you to buy excursions while trying to relax at the resort.

Did not have enough Dominican food available. Not enough places to get coffee, you could get coffee at Buffett which opened at 0645 but they would not allow you to take anything out of restaurant so I would have to wait until 0800 for the coffee bar to open. The bars near the pools did not have coffee so I would have to go all the way back to lobby. The restaurants the meat was ordered well done and both times were brought with meat being red semi bloody.

Overall you get what you pay for, so for a swim up pool room, the speciality dining was pretty good and overall vacation was good. Few downsides: - Slight rotten smell on property on times (possible seaweed smell) -Regular buffet was not edible (except Mexican buffet which they didn’t tell us about) -Staff heckling you to sell tours, spa options and timeshares for other property -Quite a few extremely rude staff I go to many resorts due to being from the Caribbean and being in the hotel industry, so I’m being very generous with this review. Overall I would say if you want a decent resort for a good price, this is the place to go, if you want no hiccups in your trip, probably pay a bit more for more high end resort. Did I regret staying here, not at all, because I knew what I was paying for ☺️

Our stay was very nice, the food was decent. The restaurants have better food and quality but you have to book ahead of time because it is based. The hotel was conveniently located near attractions and excursions. However, my Apple Watch was missing after room cleaning came and when I asked there was no resolution, so keep your personal belongs in your suitcase.

Muy bonito hotel, en general me gustó pero tiene sulfuros aspectos a mejor. El agua que sale de los sistemas de riego apesta demasiado, es un olor muy desagradable, los cojines de los muebles de las áreas comunes están manchados, los restaurantes de especialización tienen un menú muy pobre. Las bebidas alcohólicas no me gustaron, todas saben igual u no se siente el alcohol.

My recent stay at Serenade Punta Cana Resort was largely enjoyable, but there's a significant issue that marred the experience: the noise levels after midnight. Despite the resort’s many positive attributes, the nightly disturbances were quite a letdown. Firstly, the resort itself is stunning. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. The pools are pristine, and the beach is nothing short of paradise. The staff were friendly and attentive, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. The food options were diverse and generally delicious, making dining a highlight of the day. However, the tranquility one might expect at a beachfront resort is severely compromised by the excessive noise at night. Loud music, animated conversations, continued well past midnight, making it difficult to relax and sleep. This was particularly disruptive for families and anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. While the resort offers many activities and entertainment options during the day and evening, it seems there is little consideration for quiet hours. Even with windows closed, the soundproofing was insufficient to block out the noise, resulting in restless nights and tired mornings. Everything was ok… at first. Day 2, Day 3, Day 4 I called for room service no one answered the phone, at all! Day 3 and Day 4… we have to use cards to get towels from the pool area… Couldn’t get back in the room because we wasn’t given our room key back. How is that our fault? All the damn keys look the same, faded! After i got the new key, I that stopped working too. Couldn’t get room service to answer any of the days. But they answered after 9:30pm the last night and was told they are closed.. lol a joke. Some staff friendlier than others. Would I come back to the DR, yes…. Would I stay here? No!

One of the best all inclusive hotels in Punta Cana. Only downside is the food could be a little better in the buffet areas and the menus could be updated to include more options. But overall we had a great stay and the staff were very friendly.

Do not recommend staying here. The staff are not accommodating, most don't speak english, we had a broken jacuzzi, no power & no heated water when we arrived. Terrible experience from the moment we arrived. We booked for our honeymoon which the resort was aware of & they had said they'd set up a honeymoon welcome package for us when we arrived they seemed like they had no idea we were on our honeymoon. Said the day after they'd give us our welcome package (never happened) We went up to our room where the staff left us know we didn't get a room key because "they were overbooked and the system was acting up" they said keep coming down to check when it's working again and I'll be able to get a key then. Three trips down, to check if the key was working & to say hey I have no power, no hot water & my jacuzzi head just flew and sprayed water everywhere the moment I turned the knob on. I had to basically bug them again and again for them to even move me to another room because I demanded being moved to another suite. A full day of travelling and this is what I was dealing with for hours and hours. We moved rooms & then by no surprise the jacuzzi in that room wasn't working either. They also have people bugging you non stop at the beach to sell you stuff. Unless your eyes are closed they're coming up and bothering you. Just placing LIZARDS in your lap then demanding pictures then pay. Awful awful time. Worst experience ever at a 5 star rated resort I've ever had.

I like that the resort is new and modern.However upon arrival there is a horrid stench in the lobby that almost made me throw up. The employees seem unfazed by it and offer no explanation unless asked and certainly no apology. Apparently there is construction where another serenade resort is being developed and it appears the drilling underground may be the cause. Whatever the cause, the smell can make you literally ill. Its mostly in the lobby and adjacent areas and there are areas and days tue scent isnt as pungent. All the same i would not recommend the resort until this issue is resolved. Also the majority of the staff are not friendly or helpful as one would expect. Definitely they need better staff training in customer service considering this is the core of their job. Food in restaurant is mediocre at best so i mostly ate at the buffet.

Overall, just an average resort. Speciality Restaurants only offer a better atmosphere than the buffet. The quality of meats isn’t great. Great variety of foods at the buffet however taste/quality is average. More variety from the standard liquor selection (Grants, Jonnie Walker Red, Ballantine’s) would be beneficial however looking at upgrading to the “VIP” package (Jonnie Walker Black, Glenfeddich etc.) would be recommended. Beach isn’t great, only a small section of the water is usable as majority of the area is covered in seaweed. Water is knee/waist deep to the barrier. I wouldn’t recommend this resort as a first option however it does offer a lot of value for those on a budget.

Amazing stay at Serenade Punta Cana. The entertainment was great, Stephanie was such a fun time always hosting the best activities. Beach wasn’t great but the pool was very relaxing and clean.

Pros: Comfortable room Cons: 1. Hundreds of flies in the lobby and on the food at the buffet. Terrible. 2. Bad smell like stagnant water or sewage around hotel. The smell is getting more and more grotesque. 3. Service is not the best, neither is the food. Food is very limited, and there are no snacks in the rooms. 4. Restaurant reservations are always full. We could only book 2 nights and stayed 5 days. In short, I don't think I would go back

I'm sorry, I didn't like the fact that there are a lot of cockroaches in the rooms, they don't change the bed every day, there are no towels to wipe, we asked to change the pillow, they took it away and did not bring a new one, and they also threatened us to pay money for the pillow and sign a paper that we will not disclose all this, the police will come the police will throw you out of the room. My mom and I made the best of it but the resort was not one of the better ones we have stayed at. The food was decent, better at restaurants. A lot of flies in dining hall. Some of the wait staff is great, some are miserable. Best part of the resort is the pool and the entertainment—Fransisc and Marion are so fun and made us laugh and dance. Eronia and Fabio at the pool bar are the best bartenders. They made our trip and I would only consider going back to see them again. The bartenders at the far pool are arrogant and not happy (except for the girl who brings drinks to the chairs—she always remembered our order and was so sweet…Luis was rude). Overall our experience would have been much better if not for the SMELL. At the beginning of our trip the resort reeked of sewage, we were told it was due to construction next door or possibly the sea weed….it was undeniably sewage smell. t did improve over the week but still occasional wafts could make you gag. If not for the smell our trip would have been much better. Beach is also full of seaweed…bummer. No blue water. Good vacation, we made the most of it, probably wouldn’t go back.

I didn't like I wasn't aware you had to book reservations to eat the restaurants and most of the time they were fully booked which didn't make sense . Buffet food was mid nether good or bad and most of the employees were not friendly and made you feel you were begging them to do their job .

Pros: The buffet food was good and the menu changed daily and the pool temps were perfect and also the room a/c was very cold and perfect for the humid days Cons: constant sewage smell, every dining area was overrun by flies, the bath towels and washcloths were ALL less than clean (bring your own) guest services hardly answers the phone and it’s a very limited room service menu
