'We loved this property and would stay here again! It was just as described. It's in a quiet residential area and is a perfect getaway spot with good privacy. It has lots of windows (especially the large ones in the bedroom), that look out on the lush rainforest. We loved hearing the frogs at night! The bed was extremely comfortable. 'This place is tropical magic and serene surroundings. Equipped kitchen and some condiments on shelf. French press coffee. Scenic views and utterly fantastic night sounds! Full compliment of dishes and there was an outside bbq.. washer and dryer great and we hung towels outdoors. The entrance from Hwy 11 to property is a bit tricky but one catches on quickly. David and Wendy super excellent hosts!'

We spent a lot of time just Sat on the balcony taking it all in or exploring the amazing road to Hana. It also has a gorgeous beach 10min walk away.. 'We were looking for a place to stay for the night outside of Hilo while exploring that side of the island. This little cottage is clean, spacious and directly across the road from a beautiful, secluded black sand beach. It was magical! We would absolutely stay here again and enjoy it for a longer stay. 'A luxurious camping experience with running hot water, electricity, and use of a washer/dryer. Not many places to eat around and the closest "grocery store" is very expensive (12 for a gallon of milk). Make sure you plan ahead and bring mosquito repellent!! '

'What can I say, this place was perfect to celebrate an anniversary. It was romantic, very comfortable, clean, relaxing and every detail was thought of. 'The Kamaka Cottage is in a great location, close to the National Park so when the volcano goes off you are right there. Host were great wasn’t communicate with. Cottage was clean and cozy. The best part was the doors that opened up into the forest. You could smell the fragrance of the forest , hear the birds singing and the rain coming down. We will definitely return in the future. '

"Het hotel ligt aan het einde van waikiki beach. Maar alles is te belopen want waikiki beach is niet zo groot/lang. Gescheiden door weg van het strand. Vlak naast Honolulu Zoo en Diamond head krater. De volgende straat ( kuhio )heeft bushaltes ( $3 per rit p.p. ) Starbucks zit in straat ernaast. Hotel was in orde maar moet in komende jaren gaan nadenken over upgraden/renovatie denk ik. Vorige keer was ik in het Alohilani hotel ( ook aan waikiki beach) en dat is na de renovatie mooi geworden. Twin Fin was wat meer laid back dacht ik. Let op !! Aan de Diamond head kant zou ik geen zij zeezicht kamer nemen vanwege het hotel dat er vlak naast staat. Aan de andere kant is het uitzicht veel beter. Zeker als je op 1 van de bovenste etages zit. Op de etages staan ijsblokjes machines. Twin Fin is prima te doen is mijn conclusie. Op kuhio street zijn veel winkels en restaurants . En voor shoppen, en een groot foodcourt kun je naar ala moana shoppingcentre. Bus 8 en 20 . Hotel reserveert $250 dollar borg op je creditcard wat later weer losgelaten wordt. Martin "
