'Stayed in this lovely, newly refurbished motel in Collingwood recently. Spacious, nicely furnished with a very well equipped kitchen area, this is one of the cleanest, best presented motels I've ever stayed in. Right opposite the Collingwood Tavern for an evening meal, a few steps along the street from the handy convenience store and just a little further to the Farewell Spit tour office, the Pioneer Motel could not be better situated. 'Our room was very nice in many respects, luxurious even. Still we would not choose to stay here again, because the couple who manage the place showed very little flexibility and sense of service when they denied our request (that we put in after one day) to cut our stay at the hotel short from four to three nights.
