The starlit entrance to your room is beautiful, the entertainment area is decked out to everyone’s needs, couldn’t ask for a better night away!'

'Historic hotel is well located between Katoomba and Blackheath so very easy drive to many sites. Due to age of hotel rooms a little small but functional, the decor even older was well maintained and cosy. Only cons room had to be cleaned again before we accepted it, however the management reacted well and solved the problem. Staff friendly however suggest a bit of training in customer service will work to help make this hotel even better. Overall would recommend this hotel.'

'Good value for money. Whilst close to the Great Western Highway and train line didn’t really notice it. Walkable distance into Blackheath shops. Very comfortable bed. You won’t speak to any staff at all, self service and checkout through lock box.There is some basic self service breakfast if you want to eat in with cereal, juice and bread. 'What a lovely traditional hotel decorated in a classic style that takes you back in time. You are welcomed, not only by lovely open fires, but also by the reception and bar staff! Very friendly and helpful. Our room had fabulous views of the mountains and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets and sunrises. 5 mins walk to the main street with a choice of restaurants and a few mins drive to the attractions and trails. '
