Blokhutten in Penrose

'The cabin provided a cozy and tranquil stay for 2 peeps. It’s the perfect distance from the airport, hikes, grocery store, and several tasty restaurants. Our trip was planned around catching the symphony in Asheville. After looking at how pricey downtown Asheville was, I’m glad I hopped on VRBO and found this spot! The cabin is no frills but has all the amenities you’ll need. The outdoor porch provides a sweet time to take in the Appalachia serenity and hang with the local chickens/ducks. We...

'This place is super cute and exactly as advertised. Our little family had an excellent time. We used the spa facilities and bathhouse. All were clean and well maintained. We had a little trouble finding our cabin at first but other than that we were very happy with our choice.'

'We had a great 1 night stay in the corn crib unit of this property. It was extremely peaceful. We only stayed 1 night and had to leave early in the morning to continue our travels but we wish we could have stayed longer. The sauna was a pleasant experience and the shower/bathroom building was the cleanest I had ever seen from a camping type set up. Would stay again and definitely recommend others stay.'

'The house was just what I expected. Clean, cozy, comfortable. It was private, but easy to get to. Great location for a weekend in Brevard.'

'The Firefly was a charming cozy stay. It had all the supplies we needed. It was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. Close to town but you felt like you were out in the woods. The record player was a fun vibe. The bikes were a bonus and the Ecusta Trail was super close. We enjoyed stopping off at Southern Streams coffee shop long the trail. We hiked in DuPont Forest to 3 separate waterfalls that were stunning. Our hosts checked in on us and maintained great communication. It was...

'A great place to stay! The best way to describe the cabin is ... quaint, relaxing, comfortable with a rustic ambiance. The location is quiet with great views of meadows and scenery. The porch swing and rocker on the back porch was a nice place to sit and read. There is good access to private hiking trails and convenient to Pisgah National Park trails and the Davidson River and other small rivers for fly fishing. We enjoyed all of the local fruit and vegetable stands and the small towns of Brevard...

'Such a fun experience! We were only there for a very short time, so were unable to use all of the amenities! We were in town for a camp pickup, and it was an IDEAL location- just down the road! If you are lucky, you will get a little rainstorm overnight- the sounds were dreamy!!!'

'There was no lake view. I guess because of the drought. The place was a lot smaller than I thought. Looked bigger online. Ants everywhere. Dining room table very sticky, washed it several times and still very sticky. But overall we had a nice stay. There were no mosquitoes bc there was no pond so we sat outside and enjoyed the weather for the most part.'

'Clean, comfortable cabin that was the perfect size for a couple. Very well appointed home in the forest, in close proximity to mountains and hiking.'

'We truly enjoyed the stay, we only wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely the perfect mountain cabin.'
