'We absolutely loved our stay. The property is immersed in nature, close but far enough from Seward. The cabins are basic but this is really the point. The highlight of our stay was surely the friendliness of Gary (the manager/owner) and even his friends. A true pearl, a true local stay. Kids loved it too! The only place we stayed in Alaska that had its own playground, close to the lake. No small feat!'

'Hotel Seward was a disappointment in multiple ways. We booked a room with two queen beds - the room felt incredibly small, with super small bathrooms. There was no room service and cleaning everyday. The reception staff were rude and unfriendly. 'It was a stop on our way to Homer. Was not sure what to expect in middle of nowhere. It turn out to be amazing experience. B&B may not sound like lot of amenities. But, the owner has maintained property very well. They put good thoughts managing property. Property is located at the center of nature’s haven- lake, mountains, tiny waterfalls on the mountain. 'The kitchen was not what we were expecting and it was tough with the only sink being the kitchen sink for the cabin and keeping hair and grooming items away from food.'

'The place is about half hour from Seward which is great if you don’t get accommodation in Seward. We stayed in cabin 6, and there was junk yard all around that with old broken vehicles which is not a good sight. I felt the place was overpriced'
