'While the surrounding properties were typical in Fairbanks, the accommodations at North Star were great. The owners were attentive, reaching out throughout my stay, to make sure all was well. The rooms were clean, comfortable and tastefully designed. The king size bed was so welcoming and comfortable as well…I would book this bnb again, simply for the great night’s sleep. TY North Star😊'

'The staff at Captain's Choice are warm, helpful and welcoming. They helped me figure out my travel plans as they often change due to weather. It's also convenient because they offer rental cars as well. It's an older building, but my bed was very comfortable and I had a terrific view of the water and mountains. The continental breakfast is pretty basic with yogurt, cereal, fruit and frozen waffles/pancakes. '

Although I do recommend changing your picture on Expedia to something else so people don’t think they are getting that cute mini cabin(false advertising), one other thing I have to mention is the check out time! Understandable that it’s 10 am, but when there’s no employees on site to assist with minor issues (we left a bag in the room and had to card/break in) then there’s no need to have it be at 10am. 'It's an older hotel with basic amenities. The room was clean, and bed was comfortable enough. For the price, it's pretty good especially its strategic location with the free shuttle stops nearby.
