'Het is een uniek huis met prachtig zwembad en jaccuzi. Voldoende keukenspullen. Bedden prima. 10 minuten met de auto van een nationaal parc lekker wandelen met de hond. Heerlijk gegeten in Peruwelz. Supermarkten vlakbij. Met de fiets naar de markt. Zat te doen. Heerlijke tijd gehad.'

'The photos don’t do the house justice. It has lovely high ceilings, and has been finished to a really high standard. There is private parking behind a secure electric gate in the courtyard, can fit several cars. The house was clean and tidy, beds comfortable, and all amenities were there for almost any need. Abscon is a small rural town, but close to Lewarde mining heritage centre, 40 minutes from Lille, 1hr from Belgium (Ghent was worth a day trip), and easy reach of many of the WW1...
