'Lovely house and base for exploring the area. House had everything we needed including for us adults - gas bbq and outside fridge for cold beers on the terrace but also kids enjoyed private pool.. 10 minute walk into Monpazier which is lovely little medieval town to explore with a few nice restaurants and a small supermarket. So much to do in the area but it was difficult to leave the pool and house each day! .. Would definitely come back!'

'Description du bien conforme même en deçà de la réalité... Le logement est grand moderne propre et très bien équipé. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour les enfants et les grands. Au-delà de la piscine, du toboggan et des balançoires... il y a les lapins, les moutons, l'etang et son terrain de pétanque avec des tables de pique-nique. Le cadre est magnifique. Anne et son mari sont des hotes accueillants, sympathiques et de très bons conseils. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir partagé un moment en famille...

'Karen’s Le Chouettes is a lovely rural property that was perfect for our family. We stayed in the cottage and we found it so well laid out with plenty of privacy for everyone but many common areas to enjoy each others company. We had a few days in April where the kids were able to enjoy the pool. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were of top quality. Plenty of thick towels were also provided. This property is outside of a very small town. In the off season when we stayed, not much...

'Vaste gîte, très bien équipé (2 cuisines!!), fonctionnel (salles de bains), des espaces extérieurs très agréables (à l'ombre du marronnier, la piscine, terrain de pétanque) et intérieur (grande salle à manger, cheminée, babyfoot, pingpong). Nous avons été accueillis comme des princes! Merci.'

'Nous étions dans une grande maison très bien équipée et très calme. Les propriétaires sont très gentils. Nous avons passé un super séjour et avons pu visiter de beaux villages et villes aux alentours.'

'Le gite est bien situé, en pleine campagne. Le calme est absolu. Le rez de chaussée du gite a été refait avec goût par le propriétaire. Une petite précision tout de même : alors que l'annonce précisait que les animaux de compagnie (jusqu'à deux chiens de moins de 25kg) étaient acceptés (raison principale pour laquelle nous avions choisi cet hébergement car nous avons deux chiens), il nous a été annoncé dès le lendemain matin (et par forcément de façon très aimable) que nos chiens devaient être...

'Stayed for 5 days with our children 12 and 15. House and pool beautiful, immaculate. So peaceful. Everything you need. The only thing I would say is that we didn’t realise from the listing that two of the three bedrooms are outside of the main house on another level down some outside steps, although still attached to the house. This could affect a family if their children were much you her than ours. Great stay and would definitely return.'

'This historical farmhouse close to Bergerac has been lovingly restored with modern conveniences. It's views of vineyards, pastures, fields and gardens is exceptional. Our hosts were welcoming, helpful with information about dining, shopping and touring the area. They were especially attentive to our needs. Two senior couples, one slightly more agile than the other (to occupy the 2nd floor bedroom and bath) enjoyed a (too) short stay in May that included trips into Bergerac. If you are looking...

'Vraiment un super gîte, nous avons beaucoup apprécié la décoration, des objets de récupération magnifiques, un billard un babyfoot un super bar. Un aménagement et du matériel de qualité. 'We had an excellent 3 weeks stay, the house is truly amazing. Large, well equipped kitchen, great out door table and chairs. 4 large bedrooms. great pool, we wanted a place that was quiet and it was. It is only a half an hour walk to the bar in town down a quiet country lane. Would highly recommend a stay here.'

'We loved this property. Probably one of the best we’ve stayed at. Supermarkets were a 15 min drive, as was the nearest (open!) boulangerie in Castillionnes. The house had everything we needed. Beautifully clean and comfortable. Fans in the main house bedrooms for warm nights and my parents had A/C in the pigeonnair. The pool was fabulous, much needed in the summer sun.
