'Large cabin, very clean and well stocked. Secluded location and privacy was just what we were looking for. Loved the screened in porch, fire pit, decor, and comfort of the property. We requested the kayaks and some of us enjoyed a quiet ride down the creek. Bathtub faucet dripped persistently and the cabin loft area was stuffy. We thought the listing stated there was air conditioning- at least on the VRBO listing it was included. There was some kind of older air conditioning unit upstairs that...

'Despite the record heat, the AC kept the cabin cool and the lake was a great way to cool off outside. Loved the historic but well equipped kitchen. The only comment would be there is no internet or cell service. But for me that is a plus.'

'We had a family reunion up in northern Wisconsin and i needed a place that was close to my uncles place but also allowed dogs and this place was perfect! It was close to everything from Walmart, to downtown, shops! The house was very nice and perfect for 3 adults and my pup. 'We really had the best time here. The house was cozy, had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. We spent our weekend swimming in the lake, grilling, and enjoying great company by the fire. It was nice to walk over to the nearby restaurant for a quick bite to eat and a cocktail. 'We had other family, 10 total, staying at another property on Fence Lake, and we could not have picked a better place for me and my wife to stay than The Fence Lake Retreat.
