« A Characterful Coaching Inn set in lovely countryside - staff on the reception were very good, Bar and waiting staff, young but pretty good. The 2 steak dishes we had were also pretty good. We'd certainly stay here again. The Cosy Double Room we had just for 1 night was very clean and in excellent condition. »

« We booked The Star for a midway stop between travelling home and found the owner to be really friendly and anything we needed he was happy to oblige! Great view from the beer garden and the food we had in the evening was amazing, highly recommend for couples or even a family stay 😊 »

« A very nice and cozy place. The breakfast in the morning was great. It’s placed on a busy road but the night went well. »

« The location is great. We loved having the Old Fleece pub next door. The amenities are nice. The biggest issue with this accommodation is the lack of air flow. It can get warm and stuffy in warmer weather. There are no windows, and keeping the door open at night was not an option for us. »

« The hotel is a bit dated in the rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always good and plentiful. Cleaning was poor, never vacuumed in five days, tables were left dirty, sheets never changed. Also there was mold on the window sills and my allergies acted up. A bit pricey for this level of room. »

« A beautiful shiny new hotel with well thought through design and such aesthetic decor. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The roof top bar was a definite plus, with fab views, it just made the weekend for me and my friend who had a long overdue catch up. So close to the station, an easy weekend away. »
