'What an incredible stay! The room was spotless, the staff was attentive, the bed was extra comfortable, the place was silent... We had everything that we needed. Plus, the hotel is in a charming village in the middle of the Chistau valley. Highly recommended!'

'Stunning setting- absolutely gorgeous hotel. BUT- No air conditioning and our room on the 4th floor was very hot. Restaurant is beautiful but dining experience very disappointing- mediocre, overpriced food and terrible service. Dinner a few miles down the road at the campground was better and 1/2 the price. Would stay again, in cooler weather because of the beautiful surroundings but skip eating here.'

'It was probably the nicest hotel in Amelie-les-bains, which has few operating hotels and not an especially beautiful small town in the Pyrenees. The town is full of retirees and supports elderly French people there to take the cure in the Roman baths. We appreciated the AC and the bike room at the Castel hotel.
