'The grounds and the view are great, the cabin has been partially restored. It was a very rustic kitchen set-up, but we made it work. Only real problem were ants. They could find a single grain of sugar anywhere.We named the rooster that hangs around there Hei-Hei. We also had the gecko brothers who kept sneaking into kitchen.The pond has toads in it and they sing at night, counted 6 one night. 'This was such a beautiful piece land and it was perfect for our honeymoon location on the island. We are already planning on a return trip with friends and renting the main house with the pool. Someday we want to even move to this island and live in paradise for forever.'

'We enjoyed our stay at this clean, thoughtfully decorated, and conveniently located residence. It was somewhat difficult to find the first time due to all the cars parked on the road, making the driveway hard to find. However, once we found it, we were easily able to find our parking spot and get into the home thanks to the directions sent from Simone. The home is very cozy and we enjoyed our stay. We were thankful for the earplugs as the frogs are quite loud at night.'

The volcano was erupting during our stay and my mom has weak lungs/asthma and having an ac was priceless since it helped filter the air in the house.. plus it was pretty hot and humid when we were there.Would love to come back. 'This house felt like coming home. The attention to detail is top notch. Appreciated the welcome basket. There's a separate parking space for you to use. House is on a side street, no issues with street noise. You will hear coqui (frogs sounding like birds) at night, which can get quite loud. Don't let that stop you from staying here though, because you won't be able to escape it anywhere in Hilo anyway and this house is really fabulous. Bonus: earplugs are provided for those that want them....

'This space is in a great location for Hilo side activities. The kitchen has everything you might need and the host has included a bunch of extras to make a great stay. All the directions and guides made it easy to dine the parking and the unit.'
