'The amenities and rooms are very primitive, you have to go in knowing that. My girlfriend and I went in thinking that we weren’t going to have any electricity and that fresh water was scarce, neither of which were true. The shared showers/bathrooms were dirty, but only because they are being used constantly by the day-trippers to the island (the bathrooms were cleaned nightly though). It’s a place to disconnect and enjoy the beautiful beach and truly relax. The native Guna people are wonderful...

'Staff was wonderful. Room was basic, as described. Basically camping on the beach with a comfortable bed. Fall asleep to ocean waves just feet from the door. '

'I dont normally leave reviews, but Ciel y Miel was an absolute gem. We will 100% be staying again. The view alone is worth the stay (breathtaking). The staff is incredible, they made us feel like their only guests in every way. And the food is to die for! I have two new all-time-favorite dishes after dining here. 'Deze ecolodge heeft geen 5 sterren en wie hierheen gaat voor luxe kan beter ergens anders heen gaan. Maar deze plek is fantastisch gelegen midden in de natuur, met wandelwegen naar een waterval. De accommodatie is dus heel eenvoudig met schone bedden en gedeelde douche en toilet. Maar als je na een nacht met junglegeluiden wakker wordt en het uitzicht ziet, wordt je direct blij. Ook de maaltijden zijn van goede kwaliteit en prijs. '
