Quiet retreat

We loved our time at the Squirrel’s Nest! The set up was perfect for our family of six with room to spare. The pool was fun and the setting was quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed my morning country walk and we made use of the patio for a nice quiet escape for coffee or reading. The fire ring made for fun family conversation and we had a few deer visit us a couple times during our stay. Communication was great, but everything was explained throughly, so I didn’t need to reach out for anything. We had everything we needed and more!

Relaxing Retreat

My team stayed here for a business trip. The house provided us with amenities that allowed us to rest after a very long day. The swimming pool was great to use because it rained our whole trip. Thanks for your hospitality!! Highly recommended.

Perfect Birthday Ski Getaway

The house was very spacious and clean. There was lots of room to play and hang out. The pool was a wonderful addition for the kids. Although it's 4 bedrooms, there is a room that only has one twin bed in it, so heads up! We went to Brewster's for dinner on Friday, and it was delicious and only a 13 minute drive. And now for the best part of the trip ... This house is on the same road as Timber Ridge Ski Resort. It was maybe a 2 or 3 minute drive. We spent all day and evening there. It was amazing! Then when everyone was sore and tired, we were home and snuggled up in no time!Highly recommend staying here!

Comfy stay

It was clean, easy to find, owners communicated fast. Beds were comfy, kitchen was fully equipt. I would definently stay here again. We went to Timber Ridge Ski Resort and had a blast and only 3 mins down the road.

Awesome Ski Weekend

We stayed at this property with our 3 kids for a long weekend of skiing. The property exceeded expectations. It was clean, warm, location was fantastic and the pool was icing on the cake. Even when the kids were tired from skiing, they jumped right in the pool. They slept well each night. We went to Bittersweet for skiing but the cute family-run ski hill down the street (Timber Ridge - 2 miles away) had an AMAZING snow tubing hill that we went to the night we got there. It was so fun. The warm garage was perfect for drying all our ski stuff overnight. Great property and would recommend. We will stay again in the future.

Convenient Location to Bittersweet.

We took our family on a short ski trip to Bittersweet. The house was less than 10 minutes away from the lodge which was perfect. We stayed 2 nights. The kids got in the pool 1 day but it was a little too chilly to fully enjoy. The house was nicely decorated and there were plenty of spaces to sleep and spread out. The only is we had were there were ants in the home. I did message the host to let him know and he did make a stop to put out traps, however, it did limit the use of the bathroom downstairs and was a little unnerving. I am sure they have the situation under control now but it did put a little damper on our stay.

Christmas Stay

We held our Christmas in the house over Thanksgiving Weekend. It was a very nice vintage farmhouse and we felt right at home! The upstairs suite was nice for Grandma and Grandpa to get away from all the hustle of the grandkids if they needed a break! The large gathering room was perfect and the kids loved the lap pool. It snowed hard that weekend so it was pretty chilly but they still did swim! Had a great time, we would stay again!

Quiet,relaxing, “away from it all” location

My family really enjoyed this home. It was very serene and relaxing. The home is very spacious so we enjoyed spreading out! The pool was the icing on the cake. The owner was very easy to reach and the check out process was so easy! We would love to stay again if we are in the area!

The Squirrel’s Nest Reunion

We wanted a home (not hotel) for family to stay to attend a funeral in Kalamazoo. This place exceeded all our expectations. Plenty of room for us to relax and spend time together. We prepared family recipes in the well equipped kitchen while others played games or played guitars without bothering any neighbors.The side porch was wonderful for morning coffee. The pool was an added plus but a bit chilly for most of us. The host was quick to respond and very communicated clearly. What started as a sad week ended with a wonderful time for sharing memories. We definitely hope to stay here again.

Very charming farm house

We had a family wedding in the area. This home had all charm and personality. It was absolutely perfect for our getaway. All the room we needed for our families stay.
