« With a family of 4, we stayed for 2 nights at The House, which is about 100m up the road from the main building of the motor lodge. Overall we had a great stay, very clean and comfortable. You can hear a bit of traffic noise, we were able to walk into the town centre to restaurants and bars. »

Great communication, early check in, fast check in, little chocolates on the bed, helpful information in the room. Weird thing to put about a hotel but it smelt lovely!!! Will definitely return »

« Our room was both spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was right outside the door. The buffet breakfast offering was delicious and plentiful. All in all a very pleasant stay! »

« One of the BEST restaurants in Australia and the best Beef Fillet I have had in many years at many 5 Star restaurants that just can not cook it properly at medium rare, Peacock restaurant was FLAWLESS in food and service. Room was also as was reception, facilities first class. My first visit I now want to change my future bookings to this Motel for my monthly business travel. »

« Pros: Beautiful historic mansion, including shared lounges downstairs and on landing. Whisper quiet. Excellent bathroom (but cold floor in winter). Yale lock on door. Lovely park grounds and views. Good food and local wines in restaurant. Couple of minutes drive to town centre. Cons: Was overpriced unless you’re a golfer or lover of history. Checking in was confusing and involved a bit of to and fro in the complex, especially when desk is unattended. »
