The first red flag was the presence of homeless individuals sitting outside the community, and the entrance door to the property lacked proper security to prevent unwanted guests from entering. Upon entering the unit, we noticed black staining beneath the fold-out bed that appeared to be mold. Both my wife and I have asthma and are extremely sensitive to mold, and we began experiencing coughing and difficulty breathing during and after our stay.
When we arrived, the unit had a strong odor of rot and mildew, consistent with mold. We attempted to call the number provided twice but received no answer. With no front desk available, we had no way to resolve the issue in person. We also contacted the property through the listing site, but all we received was an apology.
We were promised a clean and safe environment, but that was not what we received. We are now sick and waiting to recover. We believe a refund is justified under these circumstances, but it seems unlikely at this point. We will never stay again and definitely recommend others don’t stay as well.
