'Wat een hartelijk welkom van Michael en zijn vrouw. Tot in de puntjes verzorgde kamer, heel netjes en schoon. Een prachtig huis om in te verblijven! Wij zaten in het bijgebouw en onze vrienden in het grote huis. Zo sfeervol! De enige tip die we hebben als verbeterpunt is de waterdruk voor douche en wasbak. Voor de rest is alles voortreffelijk. Genoten van het ontbijt, er wordt alles vers voor je bereid. Dikke aanrader!'

'This time we stayed in the Cottage. It was a separate unit behind the main house. Easy to enter using the code I was emailed. The cottage was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a claw foot tub and a wraparound shower curtain. The room A/C was excellent. It was very comfortable all day and night. The ceiling fan was whisper quiet. The cottage included a kitchen area with a half-size refrigerator/freezer, counter top, cabinets, tableware, microwave, and a table....

'Clearly a recent building or very well renovated given the paint smell when entering the room (wich was noticeable but gone very quickly when turning on the airconditioning). Very light and modern setting with friendly and helpful staff. Not directly to the beach so you’re located at a more quiet place. Yet the beach is less then a 5 minute walk where there’s a plethora of dining options to choose from along the coastline. Divided with cute little beach shops in between. Would stay again and...

'My husband and I loved our stay at the Carr Mansion! This historical home was charming, clean, and comfortable. Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. 'The air in the room was on full blast and everything in the room was wet. The floors, counter tops, furniture. Woke up the next morning to cockroaches roaming around. Also had to pay another deposit when we checked in. They said we would get it back when we checked out, but in reality it was 5 days. Definitely not worth the $ we spent. Also the pool is a joke it’s about the size of a parking spot. I’m sure it was a last minute decision. Only good thing was waking up to the ocean rt there. Next...

'I paid a premium price for this hotel. The price was very comparable to the San Louis Galveston. The San Loui was booked up so decided to try this place out. Absolutely no comparison (other than price). The room was about the size of a large closet. With terrible view and sketchy location with not much security that I was aware of. Don't spend a 5 star price for a 2 star motel.'

'Dirty place, yellow stains on the bed and sheets, hair everywhere including the bed, sink, and shower. The owner was nice enough to let us switch rooms, but no one was able to sleep after that. Spent $150 for one night. Should’ve shopped around a bit more. There’s better hotels for that price imo.'
