The place was perfect for a family staying right across the street from the beach entrance! The pool and tiki bar are a short easy walk as well! The host stayed in great communication with us throughout the week and was a perfect stay! Would definitely recommend to families with young or older kids and would stay again!

We just had a little getaway with some girls and it was a great location and very nice place. It had everything you needed. It was updated and Clean and very nicely decorated I would definitely recommend running this VRBO.

Very well decorated and well equipped. Quick walk to the beach and outdoor seating was excellent. A couple of criticisms; sectional in living area was very uncomfortable and having to wash, dry and fold towels before checkout at 10:00am is inconvenient; will just bring our own next time.

The Great Escape was perfect for our group. We always go through Cliff for our rentals. He is the best to work with. The place is just across street from beach access. Just steps and you are on the beach. Beautifully decorated with everything you need!

Amazing experience at The Great Escape. Back for our 4th time and this unit and host are top notch. Location is prime, right across drom the beach access and one block from the pool and beach club. The unit itself is immaculate with everything you could possibly need for a great beach vacation. The covered deck with built in drainage was amazing for sitting out and enjoying the rainstorms. The host was friendly, readily available and easy to work with. He communicated clearly and frequently what was needed and made our stay even better. He even helped us find a slightly different style property for our family vacation next summer. Would recommend CottageVacations4u and The Great Escape for anyone looking.

Wonderful Property

Cliff was great at communication and I was actually able to check in early. The property was very clean and nicely arranged. The beach access is right across the street and the property is in a great area of Ocean Isle. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The deck is beautiful and has plenty of seating with a nice roomy table. We will definitely stay again!

Friends for 54 years

Loved the decor of this condo. Several issues that we noticed when we arrived were taken care of by the owner. Great weather for sitting on the balcony. So thankful that there was an elevator. However, getting to the beach was difficult for those of us who have difficulty walking. The beach access had many steps up and down. Then to get to the water there was a steep sandy decline which prevented several of us from getting to the water.

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The condo is clean and well furnished. Only a few steps away from the beach access! Cliff was very helpful and easy to contact when we needed, including when a small plumbing issue occurred and he sent out a plumber within the hour. Our one small suggestion would be to replace the king mattresses as they were slightly too thin for comfort. The full mattresses were comfortable. We highly recommend this condo!

Perfect Spot!

Such a great condo! Beautifully decorated and spacious. We enjoyed staying here during our daughter's wedding weekend. There was ample room for family members with everyone having their own private areas. Everyone enjoyed relaxing on the porch and it's such an ideal area of OIB. We were within walking distance to the wedding party house next to the Isles Beach club so it's close by the Isles venue but still quiet and peaceful. Everyone on OIB was extremely kind and hospitable. The owner of the property was quick to respond to any inquiries. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place!

We were very happy with our beach vacation rental at The Great Escape! The unit was decorated nicely and was very comfortable! We loved the big porch area with plenty of seating and beautiful furniture...the table was very convenient to eating outside and the tall chairs were nice to take in the view of the ocean between the houses across the street. Especially convenient was how close we were to the beach access. The area is quiet and lovely. It was well stocked and very clean. We also appreciated the easy access to any questions we had during our stay. Cliff is great to respond quickly and help with any questions or concerns. Highly recommend!

Always enjoy our stay for several years. The highlight is getting to eat on the deck, most meals . Only a few issues this year. On our arrival many flies, gnats and fruit flies. Got some apple cider vinegar in cups, . Helped some. The tub in the front bedroom did not drain properly. Know we are probably the last guests for season. ( could tell by placement of kitchen things. The keypad on back door did not work , we had to go out front each time Just some things that needed attention. Hope to be back next year. Thanks for opening your home for us. Fay s family. Always enjoy our stays through Cliff. I guess we’ve been coming to these for at least ten years. This condo was new to us but like the others was clean and well maintained. Decor was nicely done. Felt more recently updated. Appreciated the board games and cards. Only thing that wasn’t a positive was that we were unable to open the patio door off the living room area. Since it was cold and rainy much of the time we were there, it wasn’t as big of a deal but would have been if it was pretty. We couldn’t get the finger latch to turn and unlock.
