Simple Retreat

The location was perfect for a quiet and simple beach getaway. No fancy Bella and whistles and the A/C struggled a little on very hot days, but the house was nicely furnished and had all of the kitchen and beach amenities that we needed.

Great location!!! Very cute cottage. Air conditioning was great. Shower curtain liner in the hall bath was really moldy, toilet didn’t flush well, and bedding was clean but stained and very worn. Coffee maker using pods did not work.

Wonderful!

Ive stayed in many houses in Oak Island, this was one of my favorites. Cute little place in a great location, loved the close beach access. House was clean and had all the promised amenities, host was great with communication. Would definitely stay again!

Best beachfront stay in OKI!

Mary is the best host I’ve ever had! I’ve stayed in Oak Island for about six years now and she is hands down the most accommodating host. The house was extremely clean (this was such a relief because I have worked with the property management company on the island -iykyk- and things were not clean whatsoever in past rentals). Mary is attentive and her home is so cozy. Her and her home definitely made this the best OKI trip I’ve ever had. I highly recommend and will refer Mary and her home to everyone!

Wonderful Location, but bring supplies.

Wonderful house and, great location!! The outdoor shower is perfect with the rain shower head! If you are staying longer then a week you need to buy extra toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels. I wish it had a iron. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Fletcher Beach Vacation 2023

We had a wonderful time at Healing Waters. The beach cottage is just perfect. Nicely maintained and updated and just the right size for our family of 5. Direct beach access is fantastic. Mary was wonderful as we had a few bumps in the beginning of the trip. We highly recommending staying here if you have the chance. Wonderful!!

Healing Waters

Healing Waters cottage was a great place for our group of four to stay. Clean and well appointed and right on the beach! The host and property manager were very responsive and everything was exactly as we hoped. We would definitely consider staying there again!

Family Getaway

The house was exactly as portrayed on VRBO; very clean and cozy. We had never been to Oak Island and were very pleasantly surprised. It met all of our requirements: quiet, low key and beautiful. Beautiful well-kept house right on the beach. The beach was stunning! We loved watching the sunsets and stars from the beautiful deck and playing in the waves. Perfect house and location for families.

Incredible magical week!

We had the best week!!! The property was perfect for our family (ages 6 3 and 7 months) and 2 grandparents. Mary was so helpful and responsive. The place was just perfection. I could write a novel about how glorious our stay was but I’ll sum it up with : we are already looking to book here again next year.

Wonderful property, no detail overlooked

Spotless, well- equipped and views to die for. This is a great house with a great host. We enjoyed lots of time at the beach, and quick 2 minute walks back to the house to cool off and eat lunch. Best location, stylish and well equipped and truly clean. Just FYI the bathroom off the main bedroom is tight and that shower could be a challenge for an older person. (They would be better to use the larger hall bath. ) Great stay, can't wait to go back.

Great Beach House!

Wonderful location steps from a gorgeous beach where we walked for miles! The covered porch in the rocking adirondack chairs facing the ocean was one of our favorite places to be. The property manager was extremely responsive. The only thing I'd change is updating the mattresses and loveseat, and the property manager said they are working to improve those. I would have given 5 stars if that had been completed prior to our stay. We would definitely stay there again.
