« My mother and I had the best stay at Heathwood Inn when we visited Bar Harbor this summer. The staff is amazingly nice and they even prepared for my last breakfast the famous pumpkin waffles I had seen in the comments and nicely asked for - if possible (they are so delicious). It is also very easy to move around the island as one of the island buses can stop right in front of the Inn, allowing you to explore Acadia without a car and struggling to find parking. Yass! »

« The facilities were clean & updated. Very close to Acadia National Park entrance & downtown Bar Harbor. This was my first time using VRBO & was unfamiliar with trying to communicate with host but he did answer…the check in was confusing because there was no one in the office at all during our stay & had to figure out how to get into the room. Our family was over all very satisfied with this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent place to stay. »

« Très belle maison où nous avons été très bien accueillis La chambre (n° 8) disposait d'une terrasse couverte ; chaque voiture a son emplacement et nous sommes informés par mail avant notre arrivée de l'endroit où il faut se garer. Tout a été fait pour faciliter notre séjour : prêt de DVD, de GPS, brochures etc... Petit déjeuner excellent et gâteaux servis l'après midi tout était très bien y compris l'emplacement tout près du centre de Bar Harbor (5 mn à pied) »

« The location was easy to find and quiet. Building and room were well kept, clean and comfortable. The staff and owners were amazing people! « A gem of a spot away from all the traffic of Bar Harbor and still close enough to see the sites of Acadia. Food here was excellent… don’t miss out on the peach cobbler, if you’re there while peaches are in season. The room was comfortable and clean. My husband was surprised there was no TV in the bedroom, but I was glad for the reprieve! The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring our stay was enjoyable and stress free. Joshua, Rachel, Kyla and Dana made our stay superb! »

"La chambre a été faite seulement après la première nuit et pas la deuxième. Il a fallu courir après des serviettes propres le soir. 45 minutes d'attente après un appel à la réception donc je suis allé à la réception pour aller chercher les serviettes. Plutôt ordinaire pour ce genre d'hôtel à $750 cdn la nuit. Le reste était correct. Excellent emplacement au bord de l'océan."
