'We stayed at this hotel unexpectedly and were pleasantly surprised. Checking in was lovely and staff took extra time to give us information about Hanoi and local sights/customs. We had booked a room with a window but it was impossible to see outside due to frosted glass and was too high even if it was not frosted. Breakfast was amazing! 'The hotel is ideally located right in the French Quarter. I stayed there for 11 nights. The Night Market, Beer Street, and Ngoc Som Temple are very close by. The staff, led by Ding, is super friendly and helpful. They can arrange a lot for you (activities, transport, tailor). I highly recommend the Food Tour. (Do this at the beginning of your stay.) 'Friendly staff and area very good'

'We payed for a night in the bay, but a monsoon cancelled the overnight stay and the 2nd day on the boat. We were moved a hotel in Halong instead but this took several hours, once the Atheana manager turned up things improved but wasn't the 1st class experience we had paid for. I cant recommend it.'
