8/10 – Goed

Solid place to stay. Backyard cabin across from the main house, which itself rests on subdivided properties that were once backyards. My first Verbo experience. 3 nights in mid-November 2025.
Negatives:
Parking on the street, Kitchen area is separate from the bed & bath, also looks like it was some form of a greenhouse that's been converted (clear cor. plastic roof), Kitchen not the best design: microwave position & tiny cube refrigerator door opening the wrong way & the countertop has some serious slope towards you. Shower stall has no waterproofing on the walls other than paint. Bedroom could lose the waldrobe closet & in it's place gain a table w/ compact metal chair. No TV. No A/C (just heat). No USB ports.
Positives:
Easy check-in. Room was quiet, clean, & comfortable. Water was instant hot. Compact kitchen with: microwave, cube refrig., kettle, toaster, glasses, plates, & silverware. Provided Coffee & several Teas (although at least three had expiry dates of 2023). Silverware/ceramics were clean. Recycling & composting (why does not everybody else do this?). Natural soap bars. Wi-fi worked well. Skylight provided plenty of natural light. Nice surrounding: flourishing veg. garden & friendly dog. Best water quality of all six places I staying at on the North Island. Check-out was easy.
Final thoughts:
I liked this place for it's qualities. But, it's not for everyone & can use some improvements. If priced right & the details work for you, give it a go.
