  • This century old house has been newly renovated into modern-traditional two story residence. It features 12ft ceilings, original hardwood floors and gourmet marble kitchen, bathroom and fireplaces. Located just 10mins from the FrenchQuarter,City Park. Three big bedrooms with 12ft ceilings and a fireplace. Large living room with a foyer on first floor, along with the spacious kitchen. 1 full bath on the second floor and 1 half bath on the first floor. Downstairs bedroom is a traditional shotgun style walkthrough. All making up 1,650 square feet of luxuriously spacious house. There is a front porch and a balcony on the second floor.
    Heated Pool is Shared with adjacent property. Maximum number of persons allowed is 6 per reservation.

The house is adorable and very clean. It had every accommodation that we needed during our trip. We wanted something not too far from the French Quarter so the "city vibe" was expected (i.e. street parking, busy street, etc.). The owner gave us an amazing restaurant recommendation. Our family still goes on and on about it! We also appreciate how accommodating he was regarding our dogs.

Stay was as advertised. Very clean and spacious and check in and out was easy. Outdoor space is great and clean heated was used, even in December. Host communicated well throughout our stay via the VRBO app. This is a busy street and at times we had to find parking around the corner. But it is close public transport. Layout is a bit odd as mentioned in other comments so read through the description. Has the basic essentials but don’t expect to do a lot of heavy cooking as there are not a lot of extensive kitchen wares or a dishwasher. Home is part of a duplex so we did have to share outside space and the pool area, but there never a conflict. We were visiting family who live nearby and it the home met all the needs.

Host was slow in responding to my request to have someone check the TV’s. There was no response until the following day. All the remotes needed new batteries. The upstairs toilet ran constantly. No one came at all to check the problem. There was no garbage disposal or dishwasher and we were required to wash the dishes before leaving.We were not informed about 2 roosters and 2 hens who lived as pets next door. The crowing began about 5:30 am every morning and continued all day until the sun went down.The front of the house was not attended to in terms of weeds and overgrown foliage.The laundry room was located outside in the back yard and was filthy.The outdoor cushions, sofa and seating area were filthy. I would not even consider sitting on it.The worst experience I have encountered with a Verbo property.
