'The staff is always nice'

'Very clean hotel with ample parking. Rooms are newer and clean too. Breakfast and evening snacks are great with menu items changing everyday. Housekeeping is bad - we returned tired with kids everyday after 4pm and would find our room still not cleaned up.'

'The first night was fine. The first associate that helped was nice, but they gave us an ADA room, which we didn’t ask for and had trouble using certain things since it’s for people with different abilities so that was frustrating. Then during check out the lady said she would email my receipt and there was no email attached apparently so when I called to get my copy the lady over the phone said the lady who checked us out on (5/30/26) should have seen that and asked for my email. That was rude...

'I stayed here two years ago & decided to come back to the Old Town Inn, instead of one of the big chain places at nearby Hotel Circle. There's free parking. Security is good as you need a room key to call the elevator or get into the stairwell. Staff is engaging and friendly. They really make you feel welcomed, which I appreciated after a long drive from LA. Rooms are clean. We stayed in a room with two queen beds. I liked there was a sink in the bathroom and outside of it too. So...

'This was a fun and great experience! The hotel is currently undergoing some changes so it wasn't open we had to call someone to let us onto the property and check us in. Which only added to the experience. The room was old but just what we needed for our short stay. No hauntings but we'll be back soon so maybe they'll say hello next time!'

'My stay here was wonderful. The staff were very polite and helpful. They allowed for a 3 hour early check in. Frequently asking if we needed anything when we’d be walking out to our car that was parked on site. Overall great experience! I’ll be staying here again! Everything seemed new and remodeled.'

'We’ve had an excellent stay, very walkable to Old Town San Diego, good restaurants in the direct area. The pool is a bit small though, San Diego zoo and the SS Midway are very close. The staff is very friendly and very nice and helpful, they give you great tips of the area. We stayed in a room facing away from the freeway, and slept with the windows open, no disturbing noises.'

'I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately found the room to have a very strong, stale odor upon arrival. It reminded me of a musty, damp wetsuit smell, which made it difficult to feel comfortable in the space. I actually ended up using Febreze from my car just to make the room more tolerable. In addition, the telephone in the room did not work, and the wall air conditioning unit seemed to circulate air that also carried an unpleasant odor, which didn’t improve the overall experience....

'The room was clean. The breakfast was something I enjoyed. The pool and Jacuzzi were clean. By mid-day, the sun heated the pool, so it was nice and warm. It is a great location. Walking distance to old town strip and close to the freeway. Would stay here again.'
