AS FOR MONTEREY BAY. AS SOON AS YOU WALK ONSITE YOU WILL NOTICE THE LOVELY CARIBBEAN THEME IT HAS GOING ON WITH THE REGGAE MUSIC AND ALL THE COLORS .. IT IS ON THE QUIETER END OF THE BEACH, FIRST HIGH RISE BESIDE A RESIDENTIAL AREA SO THE BEACH IS NOT CRAZY AND CROWDED LIKE SOME AREAS.. THERE IS ONLY LESS THAN 200 UNITS HERE UNLIKE OTHER RESORTS THAT RANGE FROM 400-700.. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING THAT THE OVERCROWDED RESORTS HAVE LIKE AN INDOOR WATER PARK THAT INCLUDES A POOL, LAZY RIVER WITH FLOATS, KIDS POOL, AND HOT TUB. MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE RESORT IS THE ROOFTOP POOL AND HOT TUB, THERE IS NOTHING LIKE IT IN AREA.. THE OUTSIDE INCLUDES BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPING, 2 HUGE DECKS WALKING ON TO BEACH, LARGE HEATED OUTDOOR POOL WITH LAY OUT AREA, HOT TUB, BEAN BAG TOSS, KIDS PLAY AREA, PING PONG TABLES AND MORE(BREAKFAST NOT INCLUDED)

The room was very nice and clean. We were on our honeymoon and we had a great time. The owner let us in the room early and was very easy to talk to and deal with. The other guest at the hotel were loud at times and the smell of weed was overwhelming at times but overall a good place to stay the room is exceptional but the hotel it’s at is not as nice

Few day get away

The location is great . The view was amazing . The building is older as it seems all of these in Myrtle beach are like this . Tons of restaurants and seems an unheard of amount of putt putt golf places ! Just would have been nice to have some wine glasses to enjoy our own wine on the patios.

Fabulous even during Covid!

EXACTLY AS PICTURED!!! This Condo was amazing! The room was comfortable, very nicely decorated and plenty of room for the 2 of us. The building was nice, the amenities were very nice, we used the whirlpool and pool on the tenth floor, views right outside our door. BUT the balconies really did it for us! I really adore the beach /ocean views but my husband gets bored after a while so the street, residential views worked for him. All in all even with covid there was plenty open and enough to keep us busy. By the way, the oven works, I brought Thanksgiving dinner with us and reheated it, super great! Thanks Derrick ! Social Distanced Vacation in Style

Beautiful property, clean, well maintained and exactly as described! It was such a pleasure to stay in 1639 for almost a week. The bed was so comfortable, and the room was decorated beautifully. The kitchen was exactly what we needed for the week. The living room was comfortable for relaxing. The balconies were so nice to look at the beach and watch the sunset (plus a great place to dry your swimsuits and beach towels). The resort is a lot of fun, very relaxing. We’d love to stay here again in the future. The owner was a pleasure to work with.

Cockroaches in kitchen and bathroom

VRBO has asked me to write this review of my experience. We will not return and absolutely do not recommend staying at this property. Cockroaches were found in the kitchen cabinets and bathroom. After no response was received from the emergency number provided, I personally messaged the owner in the VRBO app. After informing the owner of cockroaches in his unit he made statements such as "they are easy to kill" and "not my fault." I was unable to send a photo of the cockroaches directly within the VRBO app. However, without even seeing a picture the owner stated “those are called palmetto water bugs..not like house roaches.” By definition a palmetto bug is another term for a cockroach. I have sent photos of the cockroaches to VRBO directly. I also informed the owner of the lack of cleanliness of the kitchen, such as how there was crusted food in the pots and pans below the sink. The owner did not once apologize or take any form of responsibility for the stress and inconvenience it caused us. After expressing we did not feel comfortable staying at the condo and would be leaving, the owner canceled our reservation and only refunded a portion of the trip stating "I am not going back and forth with you on this." We left the condo very stressed trying to find a place to stay. Due to the fact that the owner canceled our trip immediately on the VRBO app, it led to us being unable to write a review to inform others of this problem. After spending hours on the phone with customer service, they were able to go into my account and allow me to write a review. This entire experience was very stressful and saddening. It definitely put a damper on our vacation, but we tried to make the best of it.

My wife and I stayed here as a long weekend getaway. Beautiful views and conveniently located this wonderful beach unit was very clean and nicely decorated and very comfortable bed for a great night sleep after the long Myrtle Beach Adventures

Amazing Condo!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Our stay here was absolutely wonderful in every way. The amenities were great, the location was close to everything yet not too crowded and the condo was gorgeous! The owner was always super quick to respond to any questions I had and was very friendly. He even let us check in a bit early because we arrived earlier than we expected. The views from the balconies were the best I have ever encountered at Myrtle Beach Condos and I always stay in ocean front condos. It's at the very top of the resort and you can see for miles and miles. Just sitting in one of the comfy recliners or on the overstuffed couch you have a wonderful view. I will definitely be staying here again.

First off let me start with the owner of this property, he is very polite, and he will respond to you very quickly. Now for the property, when you open the door you are just amazed by the layout and you noticed that the furniture is not some cheap hotel furniture but more of something you would put in your home. The kitchen had everything you needed, just bring food or you can try one of the many restaurants. Then you walk into the main area and you realize you have gotten a deal of a life time. The room is set up perfectly and the view from both balconies are beautiful in the day and night. The fact that the balcony on the left is covered so the sun is not beating down on you is a plus then you have the balcony on the right where you can enjoy the sun and tan. This was a surprise trip for my wife and she really loved it. With all the activities this area has to offer, this is a great vacation spot. My only regret is not booking it longer! Great job to the owner for making this places a home away from home. I will be booking again.

Awesome property...Awesome Owner

We really enjoyed our stay. We had the luxury of staying right after the property was renovated. It was clean and had great finishes. He made great use of the space. It came equipped with any and everything you could need for the stay. The owner was very proactive and responsive. He sent a list of great restaurants in the area and was willing to answer any questions I had expeditiously. He also refunded the deposit within 2 hours of checkout. I would highly recommend this property.
