'Beautiful hotel in a great and quite location of Kyoto. Upon arrival our forwarded luggage was waiting for us on our well appointed executive room, it was big enough for our family of three.Very comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, and the most gorgeous view to the mountains. Walking distance to Gion and so many temples. Service at the hotel is top notch. And the shuttle bus to/from the station is a great addition. Could not have stayed in a better place than this. We will certainly recommend...

'They gave me a late checkout (2 hours extension) for no additional charge. Staff tried to talk in English with me, and was very helpful. Breakfast was amazing also, and very cheap! The room is very spacious. Some things seem a bit old, and the red light in the bathroom did not work. But it was a nice stay, would probably do it again in the future!'

'We loved this hotel, and had a great 4 day stay in Kyoto. Very upscale and peaceful, in a quiet, non-touristy neighbourhood, with lots of convenient travel options. And we ended up in nearby underground jazz bar Zac Baran twice, as well as a tiny local restaurant about 15 minutes walk west, same side of street as hotel, called kawahigashi (it also says 'food and beverage' in English outside). We were the only people on a weeknight, with a single chef/server doing everything, and the food was...
