Pensions in Melton Mowbray

'The caretaker Paul didnt know we were coming and initially was more interested in his amazon parcels, told us the owner books people and dosent tell him (happens all the time) id booked one double and one single with 3 beds on the same floor - I got one double with single beds in the attic and my children the 3 bed a floor below us. The b&b had hostel vibes from the start. There were smashed windows, dirty bathrooms without locks, pubes on the toilet roll and bottles stashed behind the was hand...

'Good value especially given the location in the centre of town in the more historic part of the town near to St Wulfrums church and some good historic pubs'

'Nice clean room, good shower and beds. It's such good value and basic which is all I needed as was at the BTCC at Donginton Park all day. Nice selection of beers in the bar and friendly staff. This is my second time using this hotel and will use again in the future.'

'Convenient location and clean. Easy checkin with the key available from pub across the road. Had unusual single cup kettle and coffee maker and good selection of teas and coffees. Lights and bathroom tap were on timing sensors and both were a bit annoying particularly the tap when you were trying to fill a jug for the kettle. Bedclothing was a bit tired and there were only 2 fairly flat pillows on a standard size double bed. The thing I really didn’t like though was the musty smell of bedding...

'The room is big as well as the bathroom. Free parking onsite was a bonus. What I really don’t like is below our window they loaded after a party in the hotel, a van until 2am which made us not being able to sleep. This should not be allowed by the hotel. '

'Gelegen vlak bij het historische en commerciële centrum, maar toch in een al erg verloederde buurt. Hotel is erg recent herdaan, maar op een erg goedkope manier. Personeel was zeer vriendelijk.'

'Despite a request for a disability friendly room we found ourselves at the very top of the guest house and having to carry heavy luggage with a disability was totally unacceptable. In addition to this we were met with a pungent smell of cigarettes and cannabis and the smell unfortunately was rife in our room and we were unable to remove the smell despite having windows open all night and using our cleaning products as air freshners . The bathroom was in a despicable state very very dirty...

'Beautiful room and perfectly placed for attending a wedding at the Gilstrap Centre. Directions, parking, and self check in were all well described and easy to follow.'
