« Booked on the day and confirmation came through. On arrival at the property I hadn’t received the access code. After several phone calls and a chat with a Virtual Assistant. It transpired that the room was occupied. Expedia when contacted apologised and said It would be resolved in the next 72 hours.Thiis is of no help when you need a room at the time VERY DISAPPOINTING. « Lovely welcome from hosts Fraser and Maria. Room was very clean and well presented, great shower. Location is only a few minutes walk to the high street. Excellent breakfast; yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit and cooked items prepared to order. Highly recommend. »

« Owner was super nice and very accommodating with our change of schedule (due to train issues). Place was clean. No A/C (that we were aware of), which we opened the window. Unfortunately, it was a Friday night and the people outside were a bit loud for awhile (not the owner’s fault). The only downside was we found out we were only renting a room when we arrived, not the apartment itself. Great location and close to the cruise terminals. »

« Stayed at Darwin House and the experience was pretty poor. The room I originally booked was already being used by another guest, with her belongings everywhere, so I was moved to Room 1. The phone number provided for help wasn't even in service at the time. The property itself is filthy - the room was just about liveable for one night, but I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the sheets. « I couldn't take my shower during my stay because there was no cold water at the shower and the hot water was extremely hot. In addition to that the people were making noise even in the mid night not allowing me to have a good sleep »

« Another wonderful stay , the hotel is so beautifully decorated clean and owners so friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning is amazing with a fantastic choice cooked to order. The lady serving this is a treasure and can’t do enough for you. Will be back again to this amazing hotel by the sea . »
