« Spent a quiet long weekend here with my family. Made use of the dock and fished nearly the whole time. This place was perfect for us. »

« I came up with my teenage son and some of his far-flung friends who usually only meet on zoom and wanted to have a getaway together. They cooked, hiked and played board games. Everyone liked the house. It looked even nicer than the pictures. Very roomy. Lovely rural area to explore. Everything we could want for our stay except the wifi could be better. There was decent cell service though. »

« The cabin was clean and perfect for our family for the size of 7 we still had plenty of room. Nice and quiet location with a back yard view. You can also fish in the back from your porch but the only thing is at night is do not open the back patio door or mesquitos will get inside. »

« Very nice! Bring your own cookware. I didn’t bring a potato peeler but we managed. It’s nice to communicate with the home owner rather than a representative! The boat launch worked for my 20 foot boat. A dock would make thisPlace a ten »

« We were not originally planning on staying in Middletown but were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The Garden House is very comfortable and convenient to many things in town. Linda, our host had special little touches that made the stay relaxing. Number one the shower is amazing! I looked forward to it every evening the pressure and hot water is perfect and the quality shampoos and soaps provides smelled wonderful! « Just what we wanted…a place to relax with a lake view. The deck is as described…perfect views of the lake, sunrise and the moon. There is no way off of it, so it was great for the dog as well. The sitting arrangements of sofas is also great…can be together but doing separate things- two people worked a puzzle while the other two watched a movie. Kitchen is sparse, and absolutely nothing other than salt and pepper, so plan on getting spices, cooking oils, aluminum foil, etc. There is a Safeway...

« I am on a non-profit board with 4 people on it. We needed to get our annual planning for 2025-26 done quickly and the best way to do that was to get away from our day-to-day lives and location.Linda's home is lovely, extremely comfortable and has ideal amenities and is a perfect balance between quiet and easily accessible.We had a great visit! Got a ton accomplished while having a great time. We truly felt relaxed even though we were busy nearly the whole time!Thank you so much for making us...

« Location was good, nice view, but I didn’t realize highway 20 was just 40 yards below the deck, thus somewhat noisy outside. The host was wonderful, very responsive and accommodating, couldn’t ask for more. There was some dirt on blinds and window sills, but not bad. The neighborhood was ok, a few abandoned homes down the road, but nice homes surrounding the house. Overall a good stay, we went to Blue Lakes lodge to swim the next day, nice… »

« We got to stay at this property and use it as a great post wedding brunch for a few of our family members. It was one of the best decisions we made about the wedding because we got to reconnect with so many of our friends post wedding day! The pool and the entire house was absolutely beautiful and everyone had a place to hang out and reconnect. I’m so happy we were able to stay here. Thank you again! »
