'We absolutely loved the Secluded Forest Escape. The house is open, with tall ceilings and great views - it seems bigger than the photos. Everything is well-maintained, very clean, and well-provided. The location is indeed secluded, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed there to explore the redwoods, which were a relatively short drive, both North and South, so the location worked-out great.'

'This rental ended up being even cuter than the photos! Note that it is a duplex. We didn't have any neighbors during our stay. Nice and clean, and we very much appreciated that the place and the linens didn’t smell of cleaner or fragrances. Great location close to Redwood National Park and the ocean. Our only small issues (which did not detract from our stay at all): the mattress does sag a bit toward the middle, and the bathroom sink drains a little slowly. 'Cute vintage feel to the house with modern amenities. Easy walk to the beach with miles of beach walking. Fenced yard was a real plus for traveling with our dog. Easy access to local towns of Arcata and Eureka for dining and shopping. And of course conveniently located for exploring the redwood forest, the real reason for our visit.This is a real gem and we will return if in the area for the future. '

'This was an outstanding rental with amazing views. We loved having our morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean. A wonderful experience! One suggestion: since this is a self check-in, it would be helpful to get the entrance code earlier than an hour before the check-in time in case of an issue with phone service. '

'Enjoyed a short stay with my husband and step-son while considering Cal Poly Humboldt as a prospective student. The property is exactly as pictured. Super clean and tidy, new kitchen with beautiful appliances. The bathroom inspired me to redo my own! Comfy beds with cozy comforters and pillows. 'I needed to visit the area at the last minute and I really lucked out with this home. You can tell you are staying in someone’s home not a house that has been “flipped” for short term rentals. It is super cozy with high quality furnishings and the kitchen is stocked better than anywhere else I’ve stayed. It’s hard to tell from the listing but there are 3 separate rooms for sleeping. One queen bed in one room, two twin beds in another room and a futon in the tv room. I visited to help a family...
